What exactly did Cowen do wrong??? NOTHING!!! His party didn't want to see their friend and leader ridiculed by RTE and by a publicity-seeking 'artist'. Not content with emailing the Ray D'Arsehole Show with the 'paintings' he then violated public property in his FAT-EGO driven search for fame and publicity.
The artist had the imagination and bottle to make a non-violent statement which entertained or provoked half the nation. He revealed Cowen to be a thin-skinned bully who lashes out when his big fat ego is bruised. By most reasonable standards the artist hit the bullseye, and is celebrated by lovers of humour and freedom.
The 'artist' pretended to Ray D'Arcy that he hadn't hung up the paintings himself. then went on to say that he's like to seel them to the highest bidder and give the money to charity even though the news reports puts their value at 'ZERO'. Now, that's HILARIOUS.HA HA.
The artist Banksy has done stunts like that. In one incident he hung one of his paintings in The British Museum and upon its discovery the museum decided to keep it and added it to its permanent collection, he just smuggled it in inside a shopping bag as seen in his 'Wall and Piece' book. And to put the value at €0 is a little unfair, if they find out who painted it then it could be worth more.

The newsreader did not take the piss out of the man - she reported the story and seemed mildly amused if anything. That is what I was talking about. There were no lies so what exactly are YOU talking about? I know the world is in crisis, but most other leaders haven't been focusing on negative public images of themselves rather than the problems that are important at the moment.

The reason this whole affair has garnered so much attention is because of the response of the government. Would RTE News have been compelled to apologise if this were a picture of some other public figure? Would there have been threats of search warrants directed at Today FM? The best thing they could have done is ignore this.

The artist had the imagination and bottle to make a non-violent statement which entertained or provoked half the nation. He revealed Cowen to be a thin-skinned bully who lashes out when his big fat ego is bruised. The artist Banksy has done stunts like that. In one incident he hung one of his paintings in The British Museum and upon its discovery the museum decided to keep it and added it to its permanent collection, he just smuggled it in inside a shopping bag as seen in his 'Wall and Piece' book. And to put the value at €0 is a little unfair, if they find out who painted it then it could be worth more.
