If you are in so much pain that you require these narcotics, then the last thing you need is a baby. I think you should be on long term birth control until you are off the drugs!
I have several chronic pain conditions, thankfully, they didn't start until after I was done having children. These drugs really mess up your body, imagine what they are doing to babies.
Kind of wish this report touched upon the number of babies born to mothers on Benzodiazepines (Xanax - Alprazolam, Klonopin - Clonazepam, Ativan - Lorazepam, & Valium - Diazepam) which have a far more protracted & aggitating withdrawal than opiates. DEA stats show over 100 million prescriptions of "benzos" every year in the US, meaning at least 10,000+ babies abruptly cut-off from their mother's benzo upon delivery, yet no one addresses the legal "drug pushers" of these highly addictive drugs.
