  • I wish we still had music like this coming out.

  • @dylanpalmediy I'm 18 years old, and wish my girlfriend and I were born decades ago, haha. All I listen to is 30s, 40s, all through to early 90s music.

  • Happy Birthday, Sarah Louise Gilmour!

  • great band

  • Love this guy! Wish he'd tour the U.S.!

  • This is fuckin' Great Rock n'Roll.......!!!!!! I'd have loved to see Tenpole get together with Lemmy from Motorhead .It would be awsome , and Heavier than Dawn French after Sunday Lunch !!

  • It's very easy...

    Bob Kingston...Hot

    Ed Tudorpole...Not

Gary Long...missed the memo on attire for this video ;-)

  • absolute magic!!!! yeee haaaaa>>>>>>>>

  • looks like Marty Feldman

  • OOOOOOOO Sally James on TISWAS

  • Met Ed Tudorpole when my broi supported his acoustic set in London. Smoked a spliff backstage with him as he whinged about the "nanny state" or some shite. But what a legend! Seconds to go before he goes onstage and he poses for a pic with me!

  • still got the lp let the 4 winds blows

  • This is one of the songs which triggered that infrequently activated impulse in me to go out and buy a single. It's nice to think that this just managed to get into the top 50 with a little help from me! Now, where are all the buggers who didn't go out and do the same, and make this song the top-tenner it should have been?

  • Ah Sally James!

  • love it but its sooooo southern usa with that whole rockabilly style guitar.dont know how your civil disputes in the uk but over here north of the mason dixion is where you want to be.northeast corridor if you can help it,unless your rich and end up defecting to california...no respect with that hollywood crap.anyway love tenpole tudor.fun stuff!

  • OK, i know that we're supposed to hug the monkeys and camel jockeys!, but i do draw a line with the Irish!

  • @PembrokeRoadN15 The Irish are awesome. We only have 1/4 of your population in London and we still took our freedom from you guys. Not to mention we took the RBS 6 Nations grandslam right out of your hands. Oh, and no stereotypes as they are all false and you know it. Tíochfaidh ar Lá

  • it's sad when an illiterate spastic is allowed entry to the 100 club.

    That's multi-culture, I suppose!

  • gigged way the man in the 100 club last summer n hada cheeky sniff in the band room..............ye no

  • Good Bless you YouTube for being able to view videos like this!!!!!!!!

I LOVE Tenpole Tudor, you'd have to be in a coma not to enjoy this :)

  • Hmm I wonder if Felicity barrat and shaun crisp ever wander onto here lolls

Probably make em around my age now.. Old...lol

  • I met Ed he played at a local pub in my town and he is so nice and shared hes red wine with me we were in the pub till 5.30am on a sat morn and we spoke for ages i love him ha ha ha

  • i met the band the day they shot the picture cover for this, at a place called Donnington Castle near Newbury. i was only a young lad then but eddie and the boys were a great laugh.

still got the single and love the B-side, the a conga tribe, as much as the A- side.....brilliant bass line.

  • Ahh..Donnington castle. The scooterboys trip heaven!

  • u there spike

  • Was this the B Side to the 45" Swords of a thousand men ?

  • surely not ed TP!! I think he was cute... & sexy in an abstract kind of way! Lol

  • "Cute" and "sexy"......hahahahahahahaha...you are a riot.

  • Hey...I just found out who the last person was to hit with the ugly stick!

  • "Hey...I just found out who the last person was to hit with the ugly stick! "

    Who....? Ian Brown?

    ^^)

  • Mr Tudor got a good lashing with the ugly stick! Poor guy....hahahahaha

  • i did say in an "abstract" kind of way! lol.. but i don't agree with your ugly stick comment...there are plenty worse..mick hucknall & that singer from the pogues for instance! (please forgive my ignorance as i can't remember the bloke's name!) but at least mr Tenpole here isn't a complete gargoyle! hahah..and he is cute, check out that wry little smile, & his eyebrows are like fuzzy felt..adorable! :) ok, i am maybe just a little bit nuts...only a little though! lol

  • Hahahahahaha...Are there any optometrists where you live??? I think you may need glasses...haha

  • Well it's a known fact that everyone see's beauty in a different kind of face..you don't have to be classically "good looking" to be attractive..how shallow the world would be then full of lonely, ugly people! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.. anyway ed is very charismatic in person, which in itself is a sexy quality! ;) lol

  • I know...I am just having fun with you. I hope I didn't offend??? It is about the music right?

  • Right.. No of course u didn't offend me! Lol. I know your just having fun...God i must come across as being very harsh or something!.. it would take a lot more than that to offend me hun! haha

  • No, you actually seem very down to earth and a very peaceful soul.

  • Sssssshhhh..i've got a reputation to protect! lol

Gonna have to start an eddie Tenpole appreciation club i think! See, it's not just me! haha.

  • It is a very sick world with a lot of women that need glasses....hahahahaha. It is still about the music to me...

  • @GirlDrama I totally agree with you he's sexy (that charisma, the wry smile and those blue eyes...), but Bob Kingston wasn't bad either ;-) What a pity they only released two albums together 'cause their songs are smashing!

  • i'm agreeing with this he is very pretty i am finding him sexi to! he he

  • Oh God, not you too. Excuse me, but, is there an optometrist available???? Hahahahaha...Tenpole got two good lashings with the "ugly stick"...hahahaha

  • +1

Eddie is one fine chunk of sexy. In a totally abstract kind of way. Goodness I love art.

And wooo! I finally found a Tenpole Tudor cd today. It isn't vinyl, but still.

  • Oh nooooooooooooooo, not another one. Hahahaha.

  • Yes! Other people who think Eddie is totally hot!

  • I agree with you.. there's something about all this :)

  • Great song, mad vid! His eyebrows look like they've been stuck on.. like fuzzy felt!! He rock's.

  • Only Tenp0le Tudor could come up with a title like this. According to Steve Wright on TOTP2 if you look in the "deleted scenes" of the first Harry Potter DVD Eddie Tudorpole is there.

  • this band made 2 great albums but get know credit,,,,,shame really,,,,,love to see them reform .they would blow away some of todays rubbish,,,,,,,,,

  • An amazingly under-rated band.

THEY killed Bambi, but to this day, the Sex pistols take the credit!!

  • Edward Tudor-Pole sang the song who killed Bambi, but the musicians where what remained of the Pistols after Rotten left.

  • argue it however you like, even on the Sex Pisols album the song is accredited to Tenpole Tudor.

dunno what point you're trying to prove, MrCarling, but whatever it is, it's piss weak.

My theory is that it is because you are supping that weak southern ale. carlings for poofs. Get some Boddingtons down ya and you'll be alright. It may even get ya head straight enuff so that ya go and do some queer bashing, you southern poofs need some of that right now, before you start speaking french!

  • BTW, if you were as clued up as much as you wish to portray, you'ld know that his name was Eddie Tenpole back in '77, 78.

  • Man, I'd love to give Sally James a soapy tit wank!

  • OK I hold my hands up, it wasn't the pistol's it was a orchestra. I drink "The one and only"

    I live in the NE.

  • That would, good sir, require you to have a pair of breasts and sally james a cock. Or is that your fantasy??? As it stands or so i gather, it would be she that would give you a tit wank. That's after she had finished with me of course :)

  • this guy was an absolute fucking mentalist

  • Splash

  • Mad, Loony Crazy, Genius, Great Fun ---- Brilliant

    Thanks For The Posting :)

  • Tiswas was a 'kids' show back in the late 70's /early 80's in England...quite irreverent & anarchic ...nothing as cool around today.

  • What is TISWAS?

  • what about the clash appearance ?

  • Tiswas and tenpole ahhhhhhh thems where the days one of the best band s to see live if you get the chance.

  • TISWAS and Tenpole Tudor...happy days!!

  • Guys with funky eyebrows and weird hair, dressed up as pirates, singing shiny songs = w00t! <3

  • This is one of my top favourite band. Thsi song is From their second and last album "Let The Four Winds Blow" which is and will be strong listening experience and great timeless british rock'n'roll !

    J.R.

  • My band supported Ed on Saturday night, in Winchester, - my god - he's such a wonderful gentleman!
