Pavlova got a 9.1 execution, while Cheng Fei got a 9.150 for her execution. Cheng Fei most likely won with her aerial+rulfova. Also, i think Fei's sheep jump shouldve been downgraded because it didnt look like it touched the hair or her head at all!
I love how she says "much better than what she'd be doing in the warmups." That was just about as bad as a balance check can get, but of course it's better than falling. Kind of a dumb comment.
@MrAerial12345 She was overscored here, but I'd disagree with her being overscored on the vault finals. Cheng Fei was basically renowned for having the worlds best form on the vault. Her Amanar was excellent. But I'm guessing you mean the second vault, but they can only take a maximum of 0.8 for her fall, so matter how much they didn't want to award the medal, there weren't enough deductions anywhere else in her vault. Her 2 D values were 13, higher than ASacs 12.1
@bernardmvella That put her 0.9 ahead, which at the time was more than the deduction they could give Cheng for a fall, and combined with her better execution on everything else, Cheng wasn't really over scored. I don't believe she should have won the bronze with a fall (I do wish she hadn't fallen, she would have won gold), but it wasn't the judges fault, seeing as they could only deduct so much and her D-value was so high. It's the codes fault at the end of the day.
@bernardmvella But wasn't she supposed to be deducted for poor hand placement on the vault? I thought that was a deduction. But then again, that was the reason she fell, wasn't it?
I love Cheng Fei, but I would rather Pavlova win this. I don't care if Cheng medals on beam or not, I just wish she hadn't stuffed up her vault and floor, where she truly shines, otherwise she would have won both, she was the first in qualifying for both of those.
@gMariiNN I agree. I really love Cheng Fei, but Pavlova's Beam was so mush beautiful and clean - except the dismount. And is the second OG then Anna stay in fourth on Beam EF. So unfair!
She has a great variety of skills and she does have good amplitude as well. However, I do prefer Pavlova over Cheng Fei. Pavlova is much more graceful and elegant.
this cink bitch even didn't deserved in Final beam,,,I wanna kill her and give the bronze to Pavlova

@JohnPhilipSousa519 Just looked it up, as long as she is more than 135 degrees around the deduction is only a tenth...

Pavlova should have won the bronze. there were too many wobbles

She looks gigantic next to her teammates.

HOW on EARTH did she beat Pavlova for Bronze? It's just preposterous. This is an obviously sub-par routine FULL of wobbles.

I love both Cheng Fei and Pavlova, to bad they didn't tie for the bronze.
Iammejustthatone 10 months ago 15
@Iammejustthatone Tie's would have to be allowed at the Olympics for them both to get a medal.
IMO, her front arieal to rulfova is what got her the bronze. Perfectly connected and no deductions on either skill.

She didn't deserve the bronze. She didn't deserve any medal in any of the event finals. She made far too many mistakes.
