Actually Dodge has had more problems than Ford. They almost went under completely in the 80's, but Iacoca saved them. Their gas trucks are horrible; I've heard of transmissions going as well as engines. Who needs a Hemi anyway? The Cummins is a good engine, but the truck surrounding it sucks. My truck is a powerstroke with over 180,000 miles on it and its still going strong. If it wasn't for Cummins no one would buy Dodge trucks. Look who sells the most trucks out of the Big Three; its Ford.

maybe you should buy an Excursion. how bout a full-size sport/utility with a DIESEL. the 7.3 and 6.4 are the best diesel engines out there along with the 6.7 and 5.9 Cummins. i know a guy with a 6.6 DuraMax and another guy with a 7.3 IDI NON TURBO. and the 7.3 pulls and runs 20 times better. the 6.6's ti-rod's always break. the 6.6 with most definitely win in a drag race. but pullin..no way. and even though the 7.4 454 is a bigger engine, the 6.8 Triton pulls better. and its a bulletproof engine

my friends dad own a construction company. he had 3 350 5.7's in pick-ups. he blew ALL 3 up. he said they SUCK. then he went to the 454 and he likes it. he also has a 5.3 and 6.0. wanna know an indestructible engine? Ford's 300 straight 6. its a 4.9L and it'll pull a house down. we had one with 300,000 miles and it was a 1978 F-150. only problem we had with it was rust. like most older trucks. we also had a 350 in our old Suburban. only prob with it was the front hubs.
