its awesome i can fly low. nothing beats it, i can fly low and slow take in the view, not stuck in an office, You know VERTICAL! and i can spend 11500 bucks on my training for private pilots only. lol. flying helicopters is the bomb but its sooo expensive

Another option would be as a police officer. In some departments you are only require to have your private pilot license to get into the aviation unit. Once there they will prepare you for law enforcement flying. Instructor is another good option that allows you to increase flight time without paying for it. Instructors are the pilots in command but the students is the one paying for the helicopter. Last option is US Army. All you need is a high school diploma and you can do as a reservist.

My only question in regards to the state of the economy, is how are students finding the money to pay for flight training? I know about the lenders, etc, but standards are higher, and not everyone has co-signers, etc.

What many of the students do is Attend a School such as Utah Valley University and getting loans through that. They work on their degree in conjunction with their flight training.

Also getting a Bachelors degree in Aviation will help you stand apart from the majority as most Helicopter Pilots do not have a degree. Give us A Call and we can help you on the right path. 360-753-0943
