This made me cry, and I don't mean my eyes watered. Full-on tears streamed down my face. I didn't even shed a tear at my own wedding!

Not sure if it was the voice, the lyrics, or the family photos shown (esp. w/ the first wife and older children), but something did it for me. But then, Robin's been my fave since I was 4 years old (and I'm 34, now). Maybe I'm partial! Very, very lovely. Thank you for sharing.

@honeybabe2007 You're welcome, sweetie. However, I've changed my mind on our Mr. Robin. I just read some old online stories that contained rather interesting information about his lifestyle. I'm no prude, but I do have morals and standards, no matter how low they may be to some. This guy's a goddamn pig (and I'm being charitable)!!! And I'm not talking about the darling baby girl - it's everything (and EVERYONE) else he's done and does. He makes a porn star seem pure and chaste. NASTY.

@Tridmama You can go on loving Robin. My 85 year old mom worships him and his voice. Her favorite song is "I Started a Joke". She has health problems but hearing that song always perks her up and makes her smile. As for those people who are worried about his marriage... his wife enjoys his millions and mansion and they are best friends which is good enough for me. We can't judge people's marriages. His magnificent voice has brought pleasure to millions. My favorite song is Lamplight.

Usually, I could care less what people do in their private lives. But he's a tad too publicly proud of himself and that's what bugs me. To each his own.

Give your mom a great big hug for me!! I don't have a fave song, but my 4 1/2 yr old daughter's is "Kitty Can!" Cracks me up.

@Tridmama Thanks for the message. Did you ever hear his rendition of "When Do I" It's amazing. It is possible for a person to be a good person, basically even though their sexual morals are different than ours. He hasn't ever broken the law or been a bad brother or been rude to anyone that I know of. I love his voice and that's it. It is true that it's easier to really admire someone's talent when their personal attitudes are in mesh with our own. As Mel Gibson has soured his fans.

@showtuneful You're right again and do agree w/you re: attitudes meshing, etc. Just totally blows my mind. Chicks think with emotions. Have not heard "When Do I," btw, so will have to. Funny you mentioned old Mel. Don't particularly care for him, but he is (now formerly?) Traditionalist/Tridentine Catholic, as am I (hence, "Trid" in Tridmama). Aforementioned wedding therefore had full-on Latin throughout, Gregorian chant, Polyphonic choir and 12 torchbearing altarservers. Amazing.

@Tridmama As a Jewish man, you can understand how offensive Gibson is to me. I had never heard of Trad./Trid. Catholicism. I looked it up and didn't fully understand what changes took place at the Second Vatican Council that you might be against...but I do admire anyone who has the courage to go against the grain for their beliefs. I love Gregorian chants and have a cd of that. I love old castles and places like the Cloisters in NYC & churches like Cathedral de Notre Dame which I've seen.

Hard to say what version is better cuz Barry's was fully produced and this was more of just a demo outtake, if this was produced full it would be easier to pick, but this is pretty good either way!
