  • The most efficient way of treading water is an eggbeater kick which is actually remarkably easy to teach, if you know how, Modified breaststroke legs causes the child to constantly bob up and down, even 'hurdling' legs gives a more stable position in the water. I only teach this kick if the child cant 'get the hang of asymmetrical legs with symmetrical arms . The sculling should be corrected, fingers are apart making it inefficient. I coach synchro too and hate seeing sculling taught badly,
