God wanted to show Satan that Job served God for love, not for anything else. The Bible says we must be tried like gold, put into the fire. And God tries his followers, to go through the fire, so when they overcome, they will shine brightly. God allowed Satan to do what he did with Job to prove to Satan that Satan can take what he will, but Job didnt serve God for material things, only for what Job felt in his soul. Job was put into the fire, and came out victorious.
@militocristoviene Why would God work with the devil like that? They are enemies. The devil wants to destroy all of us, God did not give His permission to the devil, like the others have stated, the devil wanted to go after Job, he mocked God that Job served Him because of his things and the hedge around him. God stated the truth that the devil already had the power to go after him, through the fall, Adam gave it to him. He steal, kills, destoys. God gives life abundantly through Jesus!!

This story has made me lose my faith in God and Jesus :(. Why would he do this to them and mostly to this wonderful little girl? She wasn't even old enough to enter heaven!!
God never puts you thru what he will bring you thru. Only God could have given them the peace they reflect. No matter how you lose a loved one, pain is pain. God is still there in there lives and even after this, they stand in Jesus' love and peace in there hearts. If He wouldn't be in this situation they would be bitter and torn and desperate. But no, they have His peace and His love for the survivors. He has it also for you.
@BrainRazer Listen love, Jesus never promised his disciples an easy life. Not while you live in this material body. God doesn't promise this. If you knew half the things that happen to God's elect on this planet... You, like i had to, need to grow a thick skin. Thats exactly what the Holy Spirit will give you. Thats his name you know: Comforter(John16:7). He will give you the grace to accept unbelievable pain and suffering. Why? Because God uses pain, to test and perfect our faith(1Peter1:6,7).
@Mash494 AMEN and AMEN! I cannot tell you how much i agree with this. I have been through so much pain in my life thus far and every time, God has strengthened me. nothing in life is ever easy and it isn't supposed to be if life was perfect we would be in heaven!
@BrainRazer You are never to young to enter heaven, there is a thing called the age of reconcile, nobody knows this age, but nobody knows this age, but we know that maria, could not fully understand christ, so I beleive she IS in Heaven
@227gilbert You're right that Maria was not too young to enter heaven, as she'd have been covered at her age, but actually she'd have entered heaven anyway - three months almost to the day before the accident, she asked her mother how to get to heaven and Maria asked Jesus to be her Savior.
@BrainRazer God asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac to test his faith. He is the God "who gives and takes away" sometimes He takes away something precious to us to give something even more precious to those around us and God knows who else. It don't make any sense but God works one-eighty degrees from human logic. From their family's tragedy it has strengthened the walks of so many others. This is the way God works: He creates beauty from ashes, joy from sadness and brokenness.
God does not give and take away, that teaching is wrong. The Bible says that the gifts and blessings of God are without repentance. Meaning that God does not chance His mind. Job said that the Lord gives and takes away because that is what he believed to be true. Job did not know that satan was one who took away everything from him. The thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy. Jesus came that they might have life and have it abundantly!!
God does not give and take away. The gifts and blessings of God are without repentance, meaning God does not ever take back what He has blessed us with. Job said the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, that is what he believed because he knew nothing of satan. satan comes to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came to give live abundantly. Also, God did not give satan permission to take away everything Job had, satan was the ruler of the age until Jesus defeated him and won the victory!!

@100462hknepper you're on the right track, but Job was right. The Lord gives and takes away. Satan would not have gone to Job to take his family and his things had God Himself not given him the permission to do so. God has always had control of the world and will always have control of the world.
@sirr09 No, God didn't need to give satan permission, he already had it since the fall of man in the garden.Adam turned his dominion over to the devil. Satan is the god of this world. Go back and read Job again. Satan was not asking for permission nor did God need to give it to him because satan already had it. Romans 1:21 NKJV says that the gifts and calling of God are irrevocable. God cannot take back a blessing or gift He has given. God cannot and will not violate His own word.

@100462hknepper Job 1:10-12, NKJV (Satan speaking) "Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!" And the Lord said to Satan, "Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person." God gave Satan permission to hurt Job.
@sirr09 God said it was all in satans power because through Adam's fall all authourity on the earth was turned over to satan. God was stating the truth that all was already in satan's hand, the only thing God did was to tell satan not to kill Job. "Behold, all that he has in your power"" God was stating a fact, not giving permission. By your thinking, God would then be guilty murder, rape, theft, abortions, school shootings, etc. I know I wouldn't serve a God who did those things.
@100462hknepper This is really good. I know I wouldn't serve a god who would give his permission for these types of things to happen. The God I serve doesn't do that!! In the Old Testament God did Himself kill enemy's of His people but he never gave Satan permission to do these terrible things to Job, Satan didn't need his permission anyway. Later in the book of Job God tells Job He didn't want for these things to happen to him, it wasn't His will. Good job, your right on!! :)
@survivorbygodshand Just wanted to add that 1 John 3:8, states that Jesus was manifest to destroy the works of the devil. If God allows all of the bad things to happen to us, then Jesus is in direct violation of God's will by coming to destroy the evil works of the devil against us.

@survivorbygodshand so you guys are saying that God, the creator of the universe, has lost control of it? I refuse to believe that the all-powerful God has no control over what goes on in the world. I wouldn't serve a God that has lost control of the world, because that wouldn't make him God.
@sirr09 God is the creator of the universe, but in Genesis, He gave all power, dominion and control of the Earth to Adam and Eve. Eve was deceived, Adam was not. He turned over all of his God given authority and dominion on the Earth to satan. Satan had full control over everything in the world. Satan roams the Earth seeking whom he may devour, there is no place in scripture that states that God gives His permission to satan to come against us. God can't be tempted with evil nor temp any man.

@100462hknepper I know for a fact that God is in control of the world today, and I believe it wholeheartedly. God never surrendered control of the Earth to Adam and Eve. Genesis 2 says that God gave Adam the garden of Eden to work and to keep and told him not to eat from the tree of knowledge. That's the only "control" God gave him. I serve a God who is in control of the entire universe, and has had control of it since He created it.
@sirr09 Gen1:26 "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, aver the the cattle and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Gen !:28 The God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it: have dominion over the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves on the earth." (the power or right of governing and controlling; sovereign authority)
the very defininition of dominion, the power or right of governing and conrolling, sovereign authority and God gave that dominion of everything in the earth to Adam. Yes Adam and Eve were to care for the Garden of Eden and told not to eat of the tree of knowledge but when they did they gave their dominion over to satan. Satan became the god of this world roaming about as a lion seeking whom he may devour. He is not obtaining permission from God to devour anyone.
@sirr09 I don't think they are saying God "lost" control. I think they are saying that satan was given all authourity when Adam sinned and turned it over to the devil. God gave it all to Adam, he sinned and gave it to the devil. God was not giving His permission to the devil, He was stating a fact that the devil already had the power to do what he wanted to do to Job. Jesus came and got it back! The devil is out to destroy us, but God blesses us and His gifts are good and irrevocable.
@sirr09 God did not lose control, He gave dominion, control, of the earth to Adam, he sinned against God, submitted to the devil and gave that dominion over to him. Nothing happens that God is not aware of and knew before hand that it would happen but the Bible says that God is not willing for any to perish but that all would come to repentance, if He was in full control, everyone would be saved, but thats not the case. He gave everyone a free will.
@100462hknepper You are very right!! God din't need to give permission to the enemy of our souls, He already had it, given to him by Adam. It's very rare to find someone who knows the truth about this!! :) Most people think that God has to give his permission for everything satan does to us but that simply is not true. Keep sharing the truth!!
My heart goes out to them. But how did this really happen? Maybe in part 3 it will come up. Somehow the son did not have his eyes where they should have been. Or...the child ran right into the moving car? I wonder. There is a lot of careless driving that goes on with drivers in general, especially with teens.
@livnfree930 did u not watch the first part and they talked about it. Maria ran to the car and Will did not know that she was coming around the corner. By the time he knew that he knew hit her, it was too late.
