@brendacalderonq he does always move this way but you say it like the man never had a drink in his life. dont call someone "fucking crazy" for asking a question
did not get into The Smiths until long after they had broken up. What a shame! What a fabulously talented group! Ask any future group of their genre and they will surely list them as a major influence.....from Oasis to Radiohead. Fantastic.
haha thats funny davy.. yeah this show they did william nowhere fast and this song ofcourse.. those three alone are all mar strumming away.. it wasnt marr who formed electronic with the singer of new order was it?
@DavyCaRavy are you kidding, listen to the bass riff's.............listen to the bass riff's. Marr was great, but the melody is in the bass line. Yes, Marr had great talent & feel, but just about every smith's song is rooted in the bass line. If you could ask each of the 4 members, i believe they would tell you the same (if able to put ego's aside)
@tsu3608 I really think the basslines are something extra rather than the basis of the song, as is the case in RHCP for example. Johnny described Andy's work as songs within songs. Amazing songs though I agree with you there.
alright i normally like black music cause i'm black but this songs good

@tsu3608 that's what I have been telling people for years, spot on. That bass line is gold, as important as the guitar work of Marr for sure.

You see Marr's eyes at 2:19 ? He's face says like "Oh God, there you go again Moz..." or something :D
psykoosi 2 years ago 3
No, he did that as a 'style' thing. It's part of his onstage posing - he does it also on various Smiths 'Top of the Pops' appearances.
