Dang. How the f*** does he do that?!? That...*points at screen in a fury* THAT, my friends, is a GUITARIST! He's superhuman. I'm convinced. He's a powerful, talented, beautiful superhuman. True perfection. He can't possibly be of this Earth. :-)
Just wish it was better quality so we could get the full godliness...but beggars can't be choosers, I s'pose. Nice upload, thanks a bunch!
The bit between 2:45 and 5:55 is not Brighton Rock. This is a show from March 1974, the song called "Brighton Rock" was written and recorded in the summer of 1974 and released in November 1974. Earlier, the solo around which the song was built, was a part of "Son and Daughter" (listen to the BBC session from March 1973), only was left out from the album version of the song. It originates from a song "Blag" from Smile (1969).
Sheer Heart Attack album was released in November 1974 and "Brighton Rock" the song was recorded between July and September 1974. THIS performance was from MARCH 1974. There wasn't a song called "Brighton Rock" yet! Only the 'solo' was around for a couple of years already, but it hasn't quite yet evolved into "Brighton Rock"...
@nuncjusz1 i know. that's only Son And Daughter. On 'At The Beeb' or 'BBC' is that version, with guitar solo. But after years, I can write it is Brighton Rock or Brighton Rock Solo
It plays slightly too slow.

@nuncjusz1 the easier way would be naming the solo "Blag" which is the actual solo played here.

@MrMAHBOI1 Yeah this solo was definitely based on 'Blag' only extended and improved
