  • I think he was very lovely! Your tank size looked just fine too.

  • Beautiful fish. But, your tank is slightly overstocked. It's very pretty, though!

  • Hahahahaha i can't stop laughin when he moves!

    Sorry i am italian :P

  • nice tank good job bout to get some shrimp for my crowntail

  • what kind of pump are you using? Is that underwater filtration?

  • Can i keep a male betta (his vid on my channel with 4-6 neon tetras around same size tank pls rply

  • Yep with more fish though that means more cleaning.

  • @darengurson I personally don't recommend it. Sure, it can be done, but every Betta is different and if he is not used to being housed around other fish then he can get stressed out being around them. Each betta has their own personality, as a betta owner I am sure you know that, bettas are VERY territorial fish. I have never had a betta that lived for less than 18 months and I've had and raised them for the past 15 years. If you want to ask me anything message me anytime.

  • at 0:33 the betta swims in like watcha doinn

  • will my whisper 10 filter in a 5 gallon tank knock my betta around. i feel so sad for bettas that im going to get one

  • I am thinking of getting a Betta fish, I have owned fish since i was four but never before owned a betta and i have been trying to get info but i am looking all over and asking quite alot of people so if u dont mind could i perhaps ask whether u could give me some info?

    thnx if u can

  • pretty betta!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • 3 gallons

    3 Neon Tetras

    3 Ghost Shrimp

You went big on the 3s

    and R.I.P Betta

  • Omg your betta is soooooo pretty!! I've always wanted a halfmoon! So sorry he died :(

  • Betas aren't aggressive toward Neon Tetras? O:

  • @mcrchick89 they arn't aggressive fish. It's only their own species they are aggressive to, and anything that looks like their species, like male guppies.

  • My betta looks exactly like this he has the white outlining on his fins ! X) Im so sorry he died poor baby X( but ghost srimp arnt ideal to put in the tank bettas are independant exept for spawning time thats it . X( sorry he passed..

  • My betta looks exactly like yours! His fins just arent as big though. Very beautiful!

  • I am sorry that he died, but that tank was way to small for any of those fish. Bettas should have atleast 5 gallons and tetras need atleast 10 gallons :(

  • sorry your fish died. ;[

  • I've found that betta's tend to be camera whores for some reason! I don't know why, ahaha.

  • You have the ****ing beutifullest (is that how you spell it?) ever!!!!

  • Thanks, now I know that other fish can live with bettas, maybe i'll get some Neon Tetras!

  • Sorry he died.... Your betta was very awesome though....

  • awww sorry he died, was very beautiful!

  • really nice betta. Big tail

  • Awww sorry your fishy friend died. He had a fab pad though, I'm sure sure he was a happy boy. :)

  • i love your tank! did you ever have any problems with the neon tetras and your betta? i have a three and a half gallon tank and i'm interested in putting in some tetras or glofish. thanks!

  • I luv ur betta he's like hey film me!!!

  • OH MY GOD its o0nly been 3 days since his demise, i hope you rest in peice young fish and i hope you good owner feel better soon :)

  • i know why he died! a lava rock is in there and that harts the betta

  • At lest he died happy.....

  • 1:04 SHRIMP!!!!

  • He seems more stressed out than happy to me...

  • can i put my male betta in my tank with mollies???

  • @TheMay161993 yeah just make sure they are not sail fin mollies because the betta will probably see the male as a freit

  • When i put tetras in my tank the betta ate them.:( and then died

  • He is a beauty!

  • YAY:)

  • no my bettas hapier turn down the curent

  • try introducing a couple live plants in there

  • would a 10 gallon tnak b ok as long as it was planted for a betta

  • @Z3kedog Yes just make sure you have the heater and filter.

  • @iatethefudge thank you

  • I have a betta very similar, he shares a 10 galllon tank with a male and female mollie, and two ghost shrimp. "Rocky" has a very good disposition, but rules his roost. He is a very happy betta!

  • nice tank im sure your fish appreciates that tank

  • beautiful tank! your betta is definitely very happy healthy, and gorgeous colors too. great job on the tank

  • Awww your betta wants to be on the camera lol must love the attention! :) i have neon tetras but i might be getting a betta for christmas. Btw its really pretty! =w=

  • Nevermind. i see lol

  • You sure this is a 3 gallon? it looks kinda like my ten gal., but i usually get alot of stuff wrong ;p

  • What tank is that, where did u get it, and how much did it coast?

  • If you put the neons in first an let them get use to the tank then put your Betta in they will be less stressed and will know where to hide. Some bettas are too aggressive though

  • God you Betta is GORGEOUS! I got mine five years ago and he's happy and healthy, but he lost color and his fins look bad because he *had* fin rot :(. He's fine now! I love your tank!

  • @PonyGurl99 Same problem. Once they get Fin rot, their fins take a long time to recover and never look as pretty..

  • WOW! I have the exact same betta! haha! Has he ever hurt the neon tetras before

    ?

  • I just put my betta in a 10 gal yesterday with a couple of corydoras and ghost shrimp and the tank is so big hes just like "what do i do?" lol

  • How well have the ghost shrimp been living with your fish? Since this vid is a year old, I'm sure you've gone through the problems.

  • i read you need like 6 or 7 tetras so they can school. thats how i started and they got along great with my male crowntail. however, he grabbed one by the tail once but doesnt anymore. i have a 5 gal

  • OMG YOU ARE SO LUCKY WHEN I TRIED TO KEEP MY NEONS WID MY BETTA THE BETTA ATE A NEON.

  • Great setup! Your betta looks happy :)

  • Nice tank good looking neons. Betta looks good.

  • Your Betta is GORGEOUS!

  • I find it stupid to say that is the happiest Siamese fighting fish how to you know it he would be more happy at his real environment you have done a good job thaw bat don't tell that is the happiest Siamese fighting fish there is now happiest fish in an aquarium

  • @12Achilleas lrn2grammar

  • are these fish still alive?

  • gf

  • i have a betta and i really want to get those neon tetra fishies but will my betta eat them? What has been your experience with them?

  • @DCV19 Bettas live fine with other fishes (depending on which type tho) and neon tetras are fine to live with bettas just remember get a few neons as they feel safer in groups.

  • Wow, beautiful betta!! O.O

  • wow really nice tank are the plants real? and also cheack out mine :D

  • please comment on my new tank!..i am neew to this :-)

  • It sucks my 1 of 2 betta fish died yesterday for some reason he wasn't eating his food.

  • @pkonnoobs Now my other fish died. Crappy weekend.

  • @pkonnoobs my betta fish died as well so we can relate :( it was a half moon king female. It got ich somehow and i changed water like everyday :/ yours was probably depressed it happens sometimes you just gotta move on :(

  • @EnvyHazHax he WAS depressed. it sucks sooooooooo bad.

  • Do u feed them the same food

  • @CarliePets oh ok thanks! ^_^ but bad news .... mmy beta died 2 days after i got him when i was cleaning his cage i put him back in his cage and then he got hyper and mad and was jumping and it looked like he was kinda into shok

  • @TheOdddellarobia i know why ur fish died u put it in a cage instead of a fishtank

  • @TheOdddellarobia that happens to mine at first but soon he will be custom to the food and eat it

  • the happiest betta ever lives in the sea not in a 3 gallon tank -_-

  • @Alanitoo betta's are freshwater fish so the sea would kill it = not a happy betta

  • @littlevic1989 where ever they live ! a pond ? i mean their natural place is the best not a tank

  • @Alanitoo Bettas don't live in the ocean.

  • my mum had one he had verry droopy fins and a droopy tail he was verry happy but his tail and fins make him look misarable btw he was dark blue he lived with a single cory

  • Try bettamin from wallmart

  • hey people i need HELP! my beta doesnt eat and i got him yesterday

when my beta eats some thing he spits it back out please give me advise!!!!!!

    :'(

  • You betta looks EXACTLY like mine! Gotta love salamanders :)

  • I have the same tank for my male

  • kool tank very modern

  • What? Thats a 3 gallon! I have a 10 gallon and it liike like it

  • @mikeyg17368 i was thinking of getting ghost shrimp but i dont know if bettas eat shrimp or not?

  • @whitmoremiddle you know what? ghost shrimp might sneak up on betta while he/she is asleep!

  • @mikeyg17368 WHAT! 25 CENTS! WTF!

  • I love your beta's color! What breed is it?

  • Is the green plant live? Because it looks like a lemon-lime plant which isn't actually aquatic!

  • ha ha hahahahahahhaha that was kinnda weaird just random ly started laughing

  • Your betta is gorgeous

  • i keep my betta in a 5 g. tank by its self not with those $2 neon tetras

  • hah u put the camea on the tetras and the betta jumped into the screen like "Dont video tape them! im pretttier!"

  • are thoe baby betta fish the big betta fishes babies?

  • @EveryoneLuvzBetaFish those little fish are not betta fish they are neon tetra fish

  • american flag betta :D

  • very, very! pretty betta

  • Can Ghost Shrimp tolerate AQUARIUM salt? I follow the rule of 1 tablespoon per 5 gallons, and the tank I am getting is 3 gallons, so 3/5 of a tablespoon. Is this okay?

I also read that ghost shrimp are sensitive to water changes. How can you make sure the ghost shrimp will not die from stress or whatever? Please respond, and thank you.

  • @Ilikepenguins333 hmm, when i had my ghost shrimps i did 100% water changes for my betta and they lived with him,(i conditioned the water for only about 10-20 min) they seemed fine and i think they can tolerate more than what people say.

  • Round of applause!!!!!!! Great work ! I'm surprised on how your fish behaves himself with that ghost shrimp and the tetras :) luv it!!

  • how much was your betta

and those are amazing colors you should breed it

  • omg your betta is sooo beautiful :D

  • very pretty betta!

  • Where did you get that betta?

  • Can you mix betta conditioner and regular conditioner if you want a tank with a betta and ghost shrimp in it?

  • 2010 is your betta still alive/good looking!

  • Beautiful Betta! Love his eyes!

Does your betta bother the ghost shrimp? I'm thinking of getting one (ghost shrimp), but was told to use caution?? Thanks!

  • That has to be the happiest betta I've seen.

  • i got a round tail betta with 7 neon tetras 2 ghost shrimp and 3 platies

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PRETTY!!!! Lovely set up!!

    xx

  • Your Betta and tank setup are gorgeous!! I also have a 3 gallon and have been thinking of adding ghost shrimp with a female Betta :)

  • Is this 3 gallon tank or 5 gallon? It seems pretty large comparing to the scale of the betta.

  • @fishrockz23 OH EM GEE! First of all. I doubt its the light, possibly a red light from the video device. And the tetras will not inter fear with the betta at all. I would be more concerned about the shrimp.

  • :o ooooooohhh.. that's an awesome beautiful healthy tank! :D I got me a 5 gallon with Bluegrass the Betta and 2 Ghost Shrimp. The tank and stuff and shrimp are new, all done yesterday. Think I'll add some Tetras if they can do without a heater like these other critters. btw I have done my research so I hope nobody tells me wut to do. :p

  • Are the tetras still okay with your betta? I'm moving my betta to a 10g next week and I wanna put in 8 neons with him, but I did a google search and some sites say that it's okay and others say that the betta would try to eat them or the neons would nip the betta's fins, so I don't know what to believe...

  • Love the tank. Its a beautiful set up. Your betta is very handsome too. :)

  • your not suppose to have rocks like that with Betta fish it can damage they're fins

  • @fishrockz23 I agree with you on removing the neon tetras part, but I disagree the part about getting rid of the filter, and light due to the fact that those are both necessary for the Betta's health and survival. Also an active Betta is a happy and healthy one.
