@cocorrancho Sorry for the late response. Manual focus on this camera is controlled by using the round d-pad. It's not very... practical, I would avoid using it. If you want manual focus while shooting video, I suggest you look into Canon's dSLRs. The EOS Rebel T1i's video is decent, I have it.. Even better is the Rebel T2i or the 5D MarkII. It all depends if you're willing to shell out a couple hundred more dollars. Aperture cannot be controlled during video mode.
@lmaobrian lol i wish i had money for a canon rebel t1i atleast....but im looking into the olympus pen it has a bit of a drop back on the price so thats good..but ive been looking at this camera and it seems nice
@lmaobrian You are wrong, aperture CAN be changed during recording a video. Just press the right (+/-) button and then use your scroll wheel (or whatever it is). :)
This really is one of the best cameras concerning the price.
@lmaobrian Hmm... I might be wrong. :D Maybe it's not aperture, but the exposure... I confused the terms, sorry. :P Cause I don't use english, when I talk about cameras.
@arneduym Macro photography is basically taking pictures of things close up. on most digital cameras, there's an option called "macro" that will basically tell the camera that you're trying to take a picture of something really close to the lens and it'll adjust the autofocus to make sure it's focusing on that close object. :D
@arneduym yup, if you really want to. i suggest exploring macro photography on image hosting sties like flickr and whatnot if you're really interested. the 20xs is is a pretty nice camera, have fun with it. :D
@SAYMYNAM386 It's basically a point and shoot digital camera with extra manual settings. So if you know how to adjust aperture and shutter speed and such, it's a good camera for that. I think the best advantage to this camera is the zoom range. The use of 4 AA batteries might also be an advantage but it sort of adds more bulk to the camera. If you have more room in your budget, I would also suggest considering the Canon Powershot G11 or a lower range DSLR.
I love the sound of this video. gives me goosebumps.

@Istarax Oh, is that aperture? I thought it was just brightness/exposure but not adjusting the aperture itself.

@lmaobrian How long are the HD videos?
SAYMYNAM386 1 year ago
@SAYMYNAM386 In HD, each video can be up to 4GB or 30 minutes, whichever comes first.
lmaobrian 1 year ago
@lmaobrian Sorry im a little lost. Does it record 30 mins all together or 30 min clips? Sorry,
And Thank You
SAYMYNAM386 1 year ago
@SAYMYNAM386 30 minute clips. So if you have a 16gb memory card, you can record many videos each with a length of 30 minutes. & No problem!
