Catfish and voodoo child are basically the same song. They're in the same key, and Jimi uses a bunch of riffs from voodoo child in catfish blues and vice versa, I'm sure.

This is too much clean played for a song which talk about a powerful entity who can chop a mountain down with the edge of his hand. The song was great because of the delirious instrumental part, not like this blues cover.

@wallisliku986 you should try to broaden your spectrum of what you can enjoy. Sure nobody is as good as hendrix. but its cool to see how people play it in there own way. Hendrix would have probably loved this video. in fact he said when he died he wanted people to play his music. nothing sympathetic about that. mayer also had the upmost respect for hendrix. you should at least consider that were all students of hendrix teachings.
