  • Great- I really love this song ( the ORIGINAL!!!). But I cannot find the lyrics :( . Could somebody help me to find the original text. Unfortunately I'm unable to read Hebrew, but maybe it exists a link with a text I can read? Best Wishes and thank you so much for uploading this song, negramDKbent!

  • So Milk & Honey are the boys, ang Gali is just a girl who plays with the band in this song? Og is Gali a part of Milk & Honey?

  • @Pussinable Milk and Honey is a band, which for years has had various female singers. In 1979 it was Gali who was with the band

  • SHALOM VERY NICE SONG TOV TODA

  • In Eurovision they sang it in Hebrews not in English, didn't they?

  • Why does Israel participate in the Eurovision Song Contest instead of a Middle East Song Contest?

  • @nmgscp It was a good question. But the answer is that no one in the Middle East will play with Isreal.

  • @negramDKbent Turkey and Azerbaijan participate. Aren't they Middle Eastern countries?

  • @negramDKbent

are you sure that is a good question

you imagine israel with all arabs countries

it is like a a sheep surrounded by wolves

  • @negramDKbent thats part of it but countries in north Africa such as Egypt, Libya, Algeria, and Morraco were invited. Morocco even participated one year. Jordan and Lebanon have also been invited. Israel is the only nation to continuously accept their invitation and participate

  • @nmgscp Israel is a member of the EBU and as a result they can participate to the contest. Same thing for Turkey and other countris on the asian continent

  • @nmgscp He's right. For the same reason why Israel has never been a member of the UN Security Council -- It offends the Arabs' dignity.

  • @nmgscp Why does Azerbaijan play in the eurovision song contest when its not in europe, why does england when we are not european? Unfortunately Israeli players and athletes would not be safe in they travelled to play in islamic countries despite having arab players so they play in europe.

  • @tommy3lions The North coast of Azerbaijan is to the North of the Caucasus, so it has some land in Europe. It's like Georgia, which is also mostly in Asia, but has a bit of land in the northern slopes of the Caucasus, so it also has land in Europe. That part of being unsafe I can understand, and may justify the exception. Well, anyway, Israel has been in Eurovision for a long time, let it be on it. I just hope that if Israel wins it again, it won't host it in "Judea and Samaria" (West Bank)!

  • @nmgscp Hello mate, yeah I know what your saying buddy, seems that europe goes on and on doesnt it? We english are trying to get out of it but our government wont let us. ha ha. Thanks for the reply mate, all the best.

  • @tommy3lions Yeah, here aren't very happy with the Germans too. They want to sign treaties on and on, but when it comes to reality, they behave like the big masters. But, anyway, England is in Europe... Not to belong to EU (if it will happen) doesn't mean that England stops being European. All the best for you there too in England, and thank you for your tourists and for the Windsor Treaty, the oldest in the world!

  • @nmgscp yes mate you are correct, I am aware that england and portugal have a peace treaty older than all others, good allies . we have a lot of portuguese living in england too mate, portuguese restraunts are common in parts of england now. take care buddy

  • @tommy3lions Nice to meet you!

  • @nmgscp I think it is because Israel is in EBU (european broadcast union). I think Marocko also competed before.

  • A song for eternity...

  • This song is undoubtably the best ever single entry in Eurovision. Second only to Sandra Kim's Gema 'la ' vie (I love life) It epiamises everything that was good about Eurovision and although the English versions lyrics, bear very little resemblence to the original lyrics- both versions are extremely good. I wish the Eurovision was still as good theese days and that the voting politics could be sorted out once and for all.

  • Love this song!! I performed it last year at a Jerusalem Day concert it's on my page :)

  • WOW VERY NICE i always sing this song at school it's the best!!!!!!!!

  • @ljpcroom21

My favourite song too , yes it,s the best Israel song ever !!!

    Greetings from Richard Stalman .

  • @richardstalman No, the best song ever from Israel was Chai from Ofra Haza and the best songs ever in Eurovision were Insieme by Toto Cotugno, Nocturne by Secret Garden, The Voice by Eimear Quinn and Hard Rock Hallelujah by Lordi. Unfortunatelly Israelis don't like a lot Ofra Haza because she was an Jewish Arab who sang for peace. Google Middle East Ofra Haza here in Youtube. She should have been a Buddhist, not a Jewish.

  • It's always nice for everybody to hear the Hebrew and also the version in there own language

  • Beautiful

  • Absolutely beautiful. The only time that I have ever heard this sung was by Cantor Paul Zim with children. Excellent song that fills the heart with joy Am Yisrael Chai
