  • funny how some of those wreck lol

  • hi im new on rc cars is there a button on the rc car thats stops the car from moving so you could do burnouts. i waanted to know how could youmake your rc car faster

  • not on our cars. We do not use slick tyres so burnouts are of no help to us. We use traction goo on the tyres as well as prepare the track with a sticky sugar water mixture. As you can see from the flips and wheelstands, traction is not a big problem for us.

  • can you use something like a basic sensorless brushless motor and esc? i am totally interested in this and already have about 10 electric cars and trucks

  • Best check the rules and regs at the club closest to you. we differ slightly to USA specs. Usually most types of motors allowed in sportsman classes. It is the Pro classes that you'll find some restrictions.

  • ok thanks

  • has adelaide got a club like this?

  • Not that I'm aware of. Vic has had a club but not sure if still running. QMDRA been running 11 years. Guys from Sydney have driven 1000 km each way to race with us.

  • ok cool mate...thanx for that....

  • what brushless motors are in the last two?

  • Neither of the last 2 cars have brushless motors! The car that flipped only used 6 cells as well!

  • I mean the two brushless ones...

  • Mamba Max 7700 is a popular choice for drag racing! They will be 7700 for sure. Some use 6900 or 5700 for bracket racing.

  • what engine's are in them

  • There are nitro cars and electric cars. A variety of brands used in Nitro, mainly Novarossi or RB. I use a RB C5 which will cross the finish line at approx 34,000 rpm, using a fuel mix of Methanol, oil and 25% Nitromethane

  • Brendan's dragster uses a Novarossi 35plus21.

    Pete's Pro Stock uses a OS .18tz

    Hope this helps.

  • very cool

  • o my GOD 140k with an electric motor!!! :)

  • Brendan has gone 168 km/h with Brushless electric on 6S LiPo cells.

  • this is sweet.....!

  • great movie 100%great

  • Got a short question!

How much RPM do these Engines have?

I already have a 110km/h 2WD Stadium truck with Brushless Mamba and 3S Lipo!

But I'm also interessted in RC Drag!

Can you tell me some names or types of engines (nitro & brushless) for some of these chassis (I think many of them are from grand motor sports?!) ... that would be rly helpful! :)

    regards from AUT

    Patrick

  • Some of the guys are running 7700 Mamba Max brushless. My nitro has a .21 RB C5 and at 116km/h engine is hitting 34,000rpm. Walbern, Grand Motorsport, Litespeed are 3 manufacturers.

  • Kick ass! I am lookin to get into the RC Drag world. I want a Nitro Funny car. I already have my eyes on one though....:D

  • just like the real thing without the thunder

  • Damn they're fast

You should do a comparison involving a drag car and a Touring Car to show the difference!

  • Big diff! In bracket racing (handicap racing) the tourers usually get a pretty big head start. Makes the finish close! Good race tourers will get up to between 70-90km/h, with ETs ranging from 3 seconds down to about 2.3 seconds.

  • I went to a race here near Dallas a couple years ago, very impressive.I caught a crash on the top end with my cam thats very cool in slomo.

  • im lookin 4 a pro stock or pro mod nitro car like todds if any one noes where i could get one plz post a comment

  • Todd's chassis is a Nitro Grand Motorsports.

  • we took off the front tires to see if my car could keep it up for the whole track it did till some traction problems came into factor

  • great vid,I wish I was there

  • Wow! Nice times and crashes :)

  • Nice vid Ray congrats on getting into the 1sec club :) Takes a bit of work doesn't it?

    Griz

  • awesome

  • Terrific clip mate !!! Nice to see some very fast RC Drag Racing. Cheers

  • Thats insane!!!
