About 10 years ago, Laird and his buddies nicknamed it Jaws because of the power, speed and size of the waves and the fact that it would eat you alive if you wiped out...

The only large sharks here are Tigers and they don't "jump". Humpbacks live here and breech all the time.

you could probly sell some of the shots from when you were riding in front of the wave for the next show or surf film that mentions jaws. I do not think i have seen that perspective before. probly it is what it looks like when a guy is stuck in the impact zone.
