ELWOOD! Dan Ackroyd -- this one's for you! I remember that, many years ago in Cleveland, OH, Ghoulardi (and, later, The Ghoul) had a toothless rubber skull which "mouthed" this tune! Bizarre and over-the-top funny! I guess that, back in the hey-day of Cleveland tv, Ernie Anderson (aka Ghoulardi) and Ron Sweed (aka The Ghoul) caught the nutty side of good ole Ernie Kovacs (a true tv pioneer).

I got the "why don't you listen to some nice music?" speech only once. Have narrowed the song playing down to two possibles: this one or "Hide And Go Seek" by Bunker Hill. Since the speech didn't work, and since I appeared to be on the path to normal (har har), they then let me listen to whatever I wanted. I'm still thankful for having cool parents who let me make my own choices even as a kid.

The Rivingtons used to be called The Sharps and they did the rebel yells on Duane Eddy's Jamie releases. "Papa Oom Mow Mow" was the follow-up to thuis.

I read in one of my music books years ago that the Rivingtons went or were going to go into a recording studio and record a song, believe it or not, Baby-oom-mow=mow. The record of course
never was released but we can imagine what it would have sounded like.

@swtypieln Yep read the same thing, Baby oom Mow Mow was recorded and has never seen the light of day. Would have been amazing to hear. Ive always hoped it would show up on an album as an unreleased demo or something.
