Your comparing the pr15 to stock guns. It was marketed to people who demanded high performance. Pushing high fps, or high rof(or both). At those power levels the downsides of aegs become more and more apparent. Especially in the shot to shot consistency and reliability.
Then put your guns through a million rounds on a live stream.
Your ignorant ass, the computer doesn't affect the pressure. Its a regulator that you can turn to change the fps accuratly. You don't have to buy a bunch of springs to change it by 15 fps.

@ZaCkOX900 The hose is not in the way of anything. I have it in my backpack thats on my PC. I run it right over my shoulder and it gets in the way of nothing. Its not even that bad. People who wanted tanks in the magazines are retards. I could see something with putting it in a full stock or a buffer tube possibly. But the tube isn't bad at all. You don't notice it. It doesn't catch on shit, and I can go ambi easily.
@hioncheesenips I thought about the buffer tube too but the problem is there wouldn't be enough fill and someone can't change out the stock easily, unless it was made that way? Magazines full of gas usually leak but that is because of how they are manufactured, and dropped... For you the hose isn't in the way, for me it would totally be in the way. I would have to disconnect it from time to time. Why would someone that has this gun say not to buy it?

1. To the whole gas in mags thing. That kinda defeats alot of the purpose of this thing. You wound't have any mag compatability. You couldn't use AEG magazines that hold 120 rounds to 450 rounds. Also, there would be no place for a regulator so you do not have consistent shots like the GBBRs out there.

@willthrill94 I wish you were right however I doubt Polar Star plans on removing the gas tank. The size is big and necessary. They would have to go completely electric to remove the gas tank. Unless maybe they come up with a new type of gas? But even then, it starts to become more and more dangerous for airsoft. We haven't had a fatality yet.
The new technology is that there are fewer moving parts. This will be innovative. The first ones may not be perfect but if you put the gearbox in any platform that you want then you can fix those imperfections

I think that the hose is for those who don't like realism that much. I mean I like realism but the group I play in isn't group that suits my playstyle, so I change my style. I considered buying Ares XM110 or SR-25 and put PR in it. From the gameplay videos I've seen, PR seems to work pretty good. And if the system has some faults, I don't really care, because I don't have the money to get it now. So if I have money for ti nex summer, I'm sure they have fixed any problems by then. Time will tell.

I'm not to sure about the PR-15, but Airsoft needs to evolve. It seems as though the industry is getting stuck on FPS much like the Computer industry got stuck with processor speed until they understood that in itself it could only be taken so far. One thing I would like to see is having AEGs that can shoot accurately at over 500 feet, now that would be great.
@isacatcar That might have to change the bb for that happen... I'm not sure. But 500 feet needs speed and that could be very dangerous. You ever watch those 500fps shot in the face videos? Oh God... terrible damage. Losing teeth, possible eye, scar hole because the bb goes completely into the skull. Extremely dangerous, it's said Airsoft is almost impossible to kill but high fps I can see it being way more possible. BTW computer chips don't need to be faster, just the programming is required.
The thing with the pr15 is that its a first generation product of something that has never been done before in airsoft. Its so new to the market that no one knows exactly what could go wrong with it because no one has actually skirmished it. You just cant trust retailers who say: "it shoots fast an its electro-pneumatic. BUY IT TODAY!"
Id wait years before buying something like a pr15 just so manufacturers have time to work out all the bugs and possible problems with a new design like this.

and youre completely right. this technology is OLD (like 1970s old). im pretty sure some of the first japanese guns used a tank and hose system similar to the pr15. It wasnt until TM invented the gearbox that we had normal aegs. They must have stopped using the tank and hose system for some reason. Maybe because it had issues or because it just didnt work out. The pr15 is either going to be a flop or a success but either way youre still paying top dollar for tech thats 40 years old.
@sparta436 I would say a flop. The problem is the cost for it. Most people can't afford the PR-15, nor would they probably want a hose. Even if you take away the hose, the cost alone is why many companies are not doing such high priced AEGs. Why? Because most people can't afford it. Or we would see better guns than a systema. The computer thing is, we have multi-processors on a chip but the coders haven't made it work so applications on the computer don't run as fast as the CPU does.
It all comes down to money, although I dont think you give the pr15 enough credit it could be better (like a Ajax custom), but I think its a pretty good gun.

With a hose, it looks like crap. I still think if they tanked the magazines, it would of won overall. There would be no way to dislike it. But I'm not sure how big it would need to be. Also where I play, anything can catch that hose, trees are low with branches.

Also, some people don't even notice the tube coming out since it runs right along with my one point sling. If you wanted to, you could attach it directly to your one point so no one can see it.

1. To the whole gas in mags thing. That kinda defeats alot of the purpose of this thing. You wound't have any mag compatability. You couldn't use AEG magazines that hold 120 rounds to 450 rounds. Also, there would be no place for a regulator so you do not have consistent shots like the GBBRs out there.
2. You are just assuming you can't be as manueverable. I've laid on my back, rolled over climbed through bushes. It's not fragile and since most have a backpack, it doesn't

@willthrill94 I wish you were right however I doubt Polar Star plans on removing the gas tank. The size is big and necessary. They would have to go completely electric to remove the gas tank. Unless maybe they come up with a new type of gas? But even then, it starts to become more and more dangerous for airsoft. We haven't had a fatality yet.

The new technology is that there are fewer moving parts. This will be innovative. The first ones may not be perfect but if you put the gearbox in any platform that you want then you can fix those imperfections

I think that the hose is for those who don't like realism that much. I mean I like realism but the group I play in isn't group that suits my playstyle, so I change my style. I considered buying Ares XM110 or SR-25 and put PR in it. From the gameplay videos I've seen, PR seems to work pretty good. And if the system has some faults, I don't really care, because I don't have the money to get it now. So if I have money for ti nex summer, I'm sure they have fixed any problems by then. Time will tell.

You sure do have good arguments. I like gas guns more. I've had vsr-10 but I sold it because it would have been too expensive for me to upgrade, now I am glad owner of KJW M700 shooting 5,8 juoles. I had KWC mini uzi, traded it for an AEG. Now I think that maybe I should have kept the uzi. Now I'm thinking of buying HPA rig for my M700.

GTA 4 for PC was the worst game, articles about it, you are 1 of very few people who said it worked. It didn't work on 4 of my PCs, and I had way out specs compared to the game. The game didn't support DUAL VIDEO CARDS. Also if your a pc gamer, you would know, barely any games launch with a patch labeled EMERGENCY the day it came out. Ok to evaluate what i ment. 1 the pr-15 is the only gun that has the fusion gear box installed. When u buy the pr your buying the Fusion box with a vfc body kit. The fusion is what you want. I'm not to sure about the PR-15, but Airsoft needs to evolve. It seems as though the industry is getting stuck on FPS much like the Computer industry got stuck with processor speed until they understood that in itself it could only be taken so far. One thing I would like to see is having AEGs that can shoot accurately at over 500 feet, now that would be great.

@isacatcar That might have to change the bb for that happen... I'm not sure. But 500 feet needs speed and that could be very dangerous. You ever watch those 500fps shot in the face videos? Oh God... terrible damage. Losing teeth, possible eye, scar hole because the bb goes completely into the skull. Extremely dangerous, it's said Airsoft is almost impossible to kill but high fps I can see it being way more possible. BTW computer chips don't need to be faster, just the programming is required.

The thing with the pr15 is that its a first generation product of something that has never been done before in airsoft. Its so new to the market that no one knows exactly what could go wrong with it because no one has actually skirmished it. You just cant trust retailers who say: "it shoots fast an its electro-pneumatic. BUY IT TODAY!"
Id wait years before buying something like a pr15 just so manufacturers have time to work out all the bugs and possible problems with a new design like this.

and youre completely right. this technology is OLD (like 1970s old). im pretty sure some of the first japanese guns used a tank and hose system similar to the pr15. It wasnt until TM invented the gearbox that we had normal aegs. They must have stopped using the tank and hose system for some reason. Maybe because it had issues or because it just didnt work out. The pr15 is either going to be a flop or a success but either way youre still paying top dollar for tech thats 40 years old.

@sparta436 I would say a flop. The problem is the cost for it. Most people can't afford the PR-15, nor would they probably want a hose. Even if you take away the hose, the cost alone is why many companies are not doing such high priced AEGs. Why? Because most people can't afford it. Or we would see better guns than a systema. The computer thing is, we have multi-processors on a chip but the coders haven't made it work so applications on the computer don't run as fast as the CPU does.
