How would I solve 3sin2x-1 in the same way in your video?
zacmiley12 2 months ago
@zacmiley12 I assume you mean 3sin2x-1 = 0
bring the 1 over: 3sin2x = 1
divide both sides by 3: sin2x = 1/3
Solve for 2x: 2x = sin^-1(1/3)
Divide by 2: x = (1/2)sin^-1(1/3)
In degrees: x = (1/2)[19.47,160.53] 180 - 19.47 = 160.53 degrees
Therefore x = 9.735, 80.265
In radians x = 0.1699, 1.4009

I understood all video, and I'm not an english native.I'm from Portugal. The video is very good, and the spoken english is easy.

Man this is actually really complicated. My teacher just uses the 2 triangles. So much easier to remember.

I have learned a lot from this video. But I have a some questions that I still need help with. The question is:
Solve the following equation, giving values of θ in the interval -180 and 180 for
A. 3sin^2θ - 2cos^2θ=1
B. cosθtanθ=-1/2
C. 3+4tan2θ=5
D. 4cos^2 2θ=3
How do you do these
