Ahern is a welcome area where 4 sims come together. Unfortunately, there are a lot of griefers as well as deviants that gather there. Also some that only run down others there. Teen grid was closed down so now 16+ are allowed in SL

'I' am AGE VERIFIED, it was not a difficult thing to do, and COULD be a requirement to being able to log into Second Life ...IF... Linden Labs wanted to do that.
For some reason, while Linden claims they do not allow children under 16 on their grids, they do NOT require that avatars get AGE VERIFIED... so exactly what is the intent of a company who states underage kids can't be in SL, and yet do not 'card' people at their door, and yet?? Weird.
@doceigen SL has three types of sims general, moderate, and adult. Each type has age requirement limits. So I have no idea what you are talking about. There are kids on sl general sims. I will agree the age verification process is weak. But it is there.
@doceigen I dont know what this proves. You have to be at least 13 to play second life. To me that is a child. To go into an adult sim you have to be age verified. Like i said the age verification is weak. It should be alot more strict. But they do have a limit. The majority of SL users from my experiance are people under 25. They know if they say require a credit card in your name used to verify they would loose alot of their residents.

They usually come out and tell you for some reason which is supposed to be reported, but who can prove if they are lying. Just don't do adult stuff in SL because it very well could be a RL kid. My advice take or leave it.

teen grid is going away, i once wanted to try to get into teen grid to try and sell them some of my goods , but it turned out it was harder to get to the teen grid than the adult grid. It asked me for my parents ID and a lot of info. To get into adult grid all you need is a viewer that will log in, until you get ARed for age (kids usually act and sound like kids its pretty easy)
