I SHOULD HAVE STAYED ON AT BBALLLET !!! I started when i was 4 and quit at 6 because i moved to a different area in england !! i was sooo exied about getting points but i couldnt start again cause there was no ballet schools around ! Btw i diidnt know those shoes were so loud !!
I say this to everyone, but turnout helps you so much! Good job, though keep your knees going straight over you toes in your plie to prevent injuring them. What model are they? I was in the Entradas for years and I just switched to Gaynors, and I love them so much.
Wow your pointe shoes are beautiful ! Love your technique too, how long have you been dancing for?
I started ballet at 13 but it was on and off. Now I'm much better and I started actual weekly classes at age of 15. :) Can't wait till I get on pointe's though!
grishkos work great for me, yet my feet aren't as strong as yours. I not saying to go back to grishkos because those russians look great on your feet. But if you get them in hard, they work well beyond the first pair.
great job my friend decided to take mine to her house ad put them in and guess what she broke both her feet going into pointe idk how she got her hands on them and they were new grishkos and now there is blood all over them
this is pretty old, ill get around to uploading another vid sooner or later.
haha i broke my foot dancing too!! but it wasnt in pointe shoes thank god!!! but yet i still put on pointe shoes everyday for the entire time it was broken.
ummmm no not really i havent posted any videos i get busy tehe but ya i love dancing but the things about russians the ones i had after one clas i needed new ones
You have beautiful feet! Good work! My first pair of pointe shoes were Grishko 2007's, and I am considering Russian Ruby's for my second pair. I have high arches, do you think they will be ok for me?
thank you so much! my first pair were grishko 2007's too and i loved them but i guess they broke in to easily for me. i think i needed a harder shank to start of with. ummm.. i have no experience with Russian Ruby's but make sure that arch is supported and you can get over the box correctly. just because the arch IS supported doesnt mean its the right shoes for ya!
how are you liking the grishkos? i personally loved them on my feet but i didnt like the way they broke in.
yes, they are polettes!! but i have the 3/4 shanks!!! its a much different feel than the full shanks, but i love them anyways!! if you have really narrow feet like me, you should try them!!
You all are so lucky you guys got ballet or gymnastics.. Here in Singapore, its hard to find one class.. I guess I'm too late to join one .I have to practise at home by myself!.. LOL.. I adore your pointe shoes BTW!
They look nice! A bit baggy maybe, but pretty nice beyond that. However, I would suggest that you sew your ribbons on about a ribbon width closer to your toes, if that makes sense. That will give you more support in your arches, and help with some of the bagging that's going on. Sewing elastic to your shoes will help keep them from slipping off your heels. Keep up the good work! You have lovely flexible ankles, so as you take advantage of that, be sure to keep them strong! :)
well, your just going to have to suffer:) they are not the easiest shoes to break in, especially at the demi pointe but after a few weeks they should be good for ya.
wow i love rusians i have a pair but you said your old pointe shoes broke in to easy?welll i wore my russians for 4 hours or rehersal and they were dead. But they are sooooo amazing i love them!
thats what i use, there a great shoe, the one thing that i would recommend for breaking in your shoes is to make-sure that you get the releve really broken in, it will help lose the load sound.
other than that your doing great, just make sure you really concentrate on your turn out.
Could someone take a look at my vid ? I just got russian Lumina's and i'd like some advice :-)
