James Randi in Vancouver last night opened one of the "devices" up on stage. Inside the sealed box was a circuit board from a tv remote control that had been sawed in half with some various resistors and such on it with a ribbon connector , no battery, nothing actually connected anywhere, pure garbage.
I can not believe people fell for this idiocy. It's not like intelligent scientific minded people were not trying to tell them the truth since day one. I am so tempted to say the people who bought and used this thing deserved it. But I still can't fully blame the victims.

The mere slicing a card, as Dr. Kuhn did, is far from a "full scientific test" as you implied. Furthermore, it seems that dr. Kuhn did not know some basic facts about the anti shoplifting tags, as he categorized the ade card as such type of cards: that it contains electronic parts and can be programmed. No - Sandia Labs tested it, found it did not work and looked inside. They found that the box was empty. When BBC Newsnight examined the 'programmed cards', they found only a square spiral of aluminium foil like that in an anti-theft tag which was incapable of being programmed in any way.

1)The journalist opened a device not constant with how it looks. This has nothing to do with the court case. UK courts and law enforcement do not charge people based on the media.
2)Your uncle told you.

@EmpiricalAlpha There are many arguments that prove this device can and work fine in explosives detecting. Just search over the internet Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance and you will find the answers. The device is using the top of technology in bomb detection; its name is Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance. NQR is a radio frequency (RF) technique that can be used to interrogate and detect specific chemical compounds, including explosives.

You've decided that despite the fact that the device contains neither a transmitter nor a receiving coil, and despite the range claimed by Jim McCormick - up to a kilometre away - is far greater than the few centimetres range of a genuine NQR device?
Perhaps you should tell Mr McCormick of your findings, as he was until recently telling people it 'worked' by "electrostatic magnetic ion attraction" - which is bullshit.

It is fake image created by mass media which is ordered by big political and financial interest. I don’t believe a word from this reportage. You can see from a mile it is an ordered reportage. I have a friend working in press and he told me everybody has a price list for this kind of reportages, their name is "jukebox journalists". So don’t believe them try to see with your own eyes.

The product has no hope of fulfilling it's intended purpose, the purpose it is marketed toward. That is illegal and injury and/or death caused by this offence means he is liable to prosecution.

Until now there was no clear evidence, not even one, to prove the device is not functional. This is only a campaign against this device not against its capabilities. If the owner was somebody else I am sure there were no articles about it.

Biased journalism continued... The reporter peaks inside a house (10:19) and them turns to the camera saying that "there are light on in the house and signs of life, but the owner of this house does not want to talk with us". In the same manner, she could say that "there are faint yelling coming from the basement, clearly showing that Jack the Raper is in the house". She could, at least, simulate a couple of knocks in the front door. To be continued...

@33comtois I really don't care if the journalism is biased or not.. But the device does NOT work... It has been proven that the device is a scam and the guy was sentenced and he bailed out for 1 mil or something like that. I lived in Iraq and drove through a hell lot of check points and have never had a gun in my car & that device sometimes points at the car and sometimes doesn't... IT IS LIKE A RANDOM SELECTION DEVICE... btw, I didn't lie when I said my brother was there.

There are just words said by a man like me or like you without an official power and if I am a big company I can buy as many articles as my budget permit me. So stop saying that that is official documents. @atethics OK... Why is the device not used in the gates of the Green Zone where American officials and the US embassy are? Why isn't it used in the Baghdad International Airport where some of the US planes are there? Why isn't it used in American Bases? Why do they just use dogs instead?

I did say, though, my uncle was there. And now that you mentioned it, my brother in law was there too. You might be wrong though, about the 1 mil or something bail out. You confuse it with the JR-OMC. Confusion might be also responsible for the rest of your statements.

furthermore, look at the black box, cracked open partially with a knife by Sidney Alford (7.20). while he opens a rectangular box, the ade kit does not contain such a box, but a U-shaped one. besides, the objective reporter is careful in not stating that it is not the device she's making the report about, but "another dowsing type device". nice! biased journalism at its best!
