My Nokia E63 is made in Finland as is my next Nokia E72. But i know that Sony Ericsson phones are made in Japan and assembled in China but they are very good. Most Sony stuff that is made in China is good but nothing else.

China quality has risen so much lately you can't tell the difference. But it all depends on the manufacturer/brand. It should always demand highest standards!

My Nokia 6700 phone is so diverse that it is made in Hungary, the battery is made in Japan (and further processed in Indonesia), the wired headset and USB cable is made in China. I'm not sure where the instruction manual is manufactured. It doesn't say anywhere in the book.

and 90% of nokia phone's processors are from the philippines. made by texas instruments. :)

(Too bad intel closed their factory here due to the global financial crisis.)

Not that I'm implying but filipinos must be recognized for good workmanship.

Thank you for that, the next thing we needed was at least a bit of trust for our workmanship.

If our government wasn't so hateful about industrialization (Which I think is kinda good in some ways though.) more companies would've chosen philippines as a place for their production facilities, intel, texas instruments and even ford lasted for decades. (our workforce is kinda expensive.)

Intel even awarded their facility here as one of their most consistent production line.

Really more companies should chose to do assembly in countries that are democracies like the Philippines or Mexico.

I really don't like the idea of giving the Chinese government money. I would trust the mob before I would trust the PRC.

@hcn9 My LCD's made in japan, Processor's made in the philippines. motherboard's made in taiwan, hard disk made in germany, speakers, mouse and keyboards made in taiwan. videocard's made in taiwan too.

I like Nokia very much and I've never had an issue with their products until I brought a cheap one. As they say you get what you pay for haha =). with you next phone Nokia try looking at the HTC HD 2 to see what your now up against but keep those slide out QWERTY keyboards cause their very handy =)
