Do we really have to define what marriage is? If gays are "married" do we then have to redefine what a husband and wife is? While I do agree that a constitutional amendment should not be instituted, those decisions should be left up to the states which many have decided.

Marrage is defined by religion and therfore should only make the decision not by government. The government can make an equivilent title for same sex marriage with same entitlements/benefits but the religions own the title "marriage" kind of like a copyright or trademark issue. We ALREADY changed the definition of marriage in a FAR more signifcant way about a thousand years ago, when we started going away from arranged marriages to marriages for love. This happened much more recently (20th Century) in Japan and other Far Eastern cultures.

And yet: you can search the Bible from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21, and you won't find even ONE EXAMPLE of a man and a woman getting married for love. Not ONE. There is NO indication of how SHE felt towards HIM.

Do we really have to define what marriage is? If gays are "married" do we then have to redefine what a husband and wife is? While I do agree that a constitutional amendment should not be instituted, those decisions should be left up to the states which many have decided.

Marrage is defined by religion and therfore should only make the decision not by government. The government can make an equivilent title for same sex marriage with same entitlements/benefits but the religions own the title "marriage" kind of like a copyright or trademark issue. Look, pal. Right from the start an internet or "phone" poll is no measure of who will show up and vote. Why? Let's use a bit of common sense now:
Anyone, not just registered voters can utilize both those polls. Scripts can be made to repeatedly strike an internet poll, and programs can even be used to repeatedly dial phone numbers.
Ron Paul's cult members are more inclined to use those techniques to show they support their candidate.

And yet: you can search the Bible from Genesis 1:1 through Revelation 22:21, and you won't find even ONE EXAMPLE of a man and a woman getting married for love. Not ONE. The closest example was King David getting "enamoured" of Bathsheeba, and having her husband killed so he could have her, for which he fell out of favor with the LORD. There is NO indication of how SHE felt towards HIM.

Solomon, by the way, was David's son BY BATHSHEEBA. Jesus (or rather Joseph) was (according to Matthew's genealogy, but not Luke's — but that's another rant) descended from David through SOLOMON, which is why Jesus was supposedly by inheritance the rightful King of the Jews.
So, if David had NOT had Bathsheeba's husband murdered and taken her, Solomon would never have existed, and thus neither would Joseph!

People, we have to stop letting the government divide us. It is their means of dividing and conquer. We have to all stand together for HUMAN RIGHTS. INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS. The longer we stand divided by race and any other division they come up with, the more we let them win.

Brownback is opposed to HETEROSEXUAL marriages also. He partnered with mostly Democrats and radical Bahai feminists in sponsoring the draconian, unconstutional 'Intl Romance Regulation Act'. Now it's a felony for law abiding Americans to write friendship letters or even to say 'Hello' to foreigners. By the way, Ron Paul voted 'No' to this pathetic bill.

I believe elements within our government had foreknowledge and took advantage of it. Let it happen and actively made it worse by inaction and bomb-planting to bring down those buildings. But either way, the fact that we can all still agree on Ron Paul is telling. Freedom sells!

I am a Ron Paul supporter AND I believe 9/11 was blowback AND and inside job BOTH.
I can't ignore the evidence of secondary explosions on those towers. The evidence is absolutely overwhelming... And Building 7... Forget about it. Silverstein himself even slipped and said they pulled that fucker.

It's already been proven, that with the fox text message polling system, a person can only vote once. They are just angry, that among the people who watched this debate, most of them were informed, and consequently were ron paul supporters. I do not beleive 911 was an inside job it is a direct blowback phenomenon resulting from our occupation and policing of the middle east over the course of 5 or more decades.

I understand that Randi feels she has to come across as extreme and defiantly opinionated in order to be entertaining, but she isn't accomplishing anything by being flat out rude. Sure, Brownback deserved the boos he got, but insuating that he is a weirdo because he is from Kansas is just plain ridiculous. And her constant references to Ron Paul as the least likely candidate to win just shows me that she is willing to mimic the other corporate media whores. I'm not impressed.

i'd suspect if it was in the constitution, this country would be on a long path to a 2nd civil war.
I know I personally will never allow discrimination at the hands of bigoted republicans to be written into my constitution. it doesn't just belong to bigoted come lately christians from the south.
