seems like a very expensive analog replacement for what can be accomplished with any DAW. in order to actually use this for what it's intended for, you have to own all those fancy effects pedals, rather than just pirating Cubase and having everything on hand for free. why would i want to run my kick sound out of an interface/recorder, into this silly box, into a guitar pedal, manually control it, and just send it all back to the recorder? i could do all that with a few clicks of a mouse.
