This is wonderful but it needs to be much more widespead to make a difference. The anti-war movement needed to bring this country to its knees. There needed to be enormous protests, paralyzing strikes, large scale, unignorable civil unrest. Considering how wrong we've been, the response has been very tepid. I thank all these people for their efforts, I wish there had been more of them - maybe we could stopped the war and brought the people who lied us into it to justice.

I think you're right. The impact is happening but people can't see it yet. We've run this war by printing money and running up a huge amount of debt - basically by taxing future generations. I think the only things that could wake people up to make the kind of needed protests would be economic collapse or a re-instatement of the draft. There's nothing approaching the political will to bring back the draft, so that leaves economic ruin to be our alarm clock.

I think they should push congress to re-instate the draft. These morons in America will only wake up when they start collectively paying a price. As long as its a handful of people from poor communities who are serving and dieing, no one cares.
