So many good memories of INN. I was a Yserbius addict. Those bills were pretty horrendous though! To think we actually paid for internet in minutes those days. I was 14.
I loved the Imagination Network, the games, the avatar, and chat. It was fantastic, wish such a service still existed. So how old were you back then. I was 14.
I just made a video explaining imagination network, as well as the games on it and such: i'll be posting it within a week or two, I expect some 1,000+ or so gamers will join the service and check it out.
Is there anywhere you recommend as far as forums etc. to link the videos at, like forums that are dedicated to the inn revival or?
I played on this back in the day (i've even got the install disks for it, and yserbius/twinion) so i'd love to see it be populated again :)
My dad was one of the first subscribers to TSN back in the early 90's. I still believe that if something similar to TSN/INN started up, they would make a fortune.
I've been involved in online gaming for 20 years and have yet to find anything that even comes close to INN.... WoW wouldn't even have a chance with the setup that TSN/INN had
Wow...thanks for posting this, it brought innrevival to my attention, what they're doing is pretty amazing to me, i read about imagination network but sadly never got to try it back in the day as i didn't even have internet access back then, then i got my hopes up a little when i read about fauxinn, but only the facemaker worked for me there...the possibility that i could use the original software someday is really good news :D
Right now i'm connected but i don't see anyone around :p
Oops! You are right, it was a subscription service...i had the misconception it operated on the internet later on for some reason...i'm a foreigner so the 'long distance' fee would have killed me even if it was available, heh :P
I'm still interested in INN Revival, i'll try to log in again one of these days...i grew up with the sierra games, so the idea of an online sierra network still sounds great to me, even if i didn't get to use it back in the day.
I didn't even have a computer back then. I was still playing with a Commodore 64 and a NES. I got a floppy disk for it with a magazine i used to subscribe to. I read up about it in the magazine back then and i really wished i could get to it. Now here we are 20 or so years later and i can at least use the emulator to see what I missed out on hehe.

I remember trying this out as a kid and I quickly exceeded the initial trial time. My mom was pissed when she got the bill.

How come no one has made a TSN private server like the warcraft one?? I will join. I miss Fates of Twinion.

@Nickokapo There wasn't internet access back then! :) It was an independent phone number and subscription service, like dialing into a BBS.
