@elwin38 - he always had glasses, going back to the Hamburg days. He was vain and wouldnt wear them on stage or for photos. He was occasionally caught off guard and a few snaps exist but even more amongst his close friends, not for publicity shots. Pete Best said he could barely see the girls flirting w/ him while he was on stage, that's how Paul and Pete snagged most of the German groupies.

John was so young! This was three years before I was born. It shows what a funny man he was! John always reminds me of Elvis. He wanted to be an actor but the Colnel kept putting him in dumb record promoting movies. John could have soared in anything he wanted(and did) God bless him! The more I learn about John the more I see the music was but a tiny part. He was AMAZING.

yeah, this was around late November - December, 1966. they were recording "Strawberry Fields Forever" around this time, also "Penny Lane" and "When I'm 64".

He came back from filming "How I Won the War" in early November. Met Yoko also for the first time (they didn't get serious till May, 1968). All four Beatles grew mustaches to match shortly after this was filmed after Paul grew one to hide a scar from a motorcycle accident.
