@candiboo111 there are reports of there having been room on the plane. Two people got off the plane to do more production work. Stacey Mossop was one of the people who got of the plane. There was another dancer, can't recall the name, but the pilot was not licensed to fly that type of plane. There were adequate sized planes on standby, but were called down by Atlantic Flight Group and they called in BlackHawk who did not have permission to fly to the Bahamas. First of All.

@seonfox he was force to by his bosses. he told them it was too heavy but they didn't care they only cared about the fact that they had a celebrity going on their plane and wanted to look good in front of her so the force him to fly the plane. i think they threatened him his job and benefits if he didn't do it so he flew it and died. also the record company was too cheap to have it ship on a separate plane, they sent it over seas but didn't want to take it to america on their dime.

On the latest BET special Aaliyah: One In A Million one of the dancers stated that Aaliyah was ready to leave immediately once her scenes were done although the others still were finishing up on their scenes. I just wish that she would have waited on the plane that took them to the Bahamas. She could have rode the same plane with Fatima and Hype. I heard she told Dame she didn't like the plane and he told her not to get on it. And just to let you know i am not trying to start mess or blame her.

@BigK5041 that's why it fell, it had trouble getting off the ground and they lost and engine. It's one thing to lose an engine on a commercial plane because they're big enough and can still keep going, but on a plane like that? It wasn't going anywhere but down. :-(

I was watching her on 106 & Park talking about her schedule, it seemed she was really focused on movies than wanting to put out another album all that back&forth flying across the world, but I blame her record label. Although "Aaliyah" is a classic album them trying to make a buck is what killed her

They're so evil. the whole story is they couldn't get a commercial jet and wanted to go home because they were tired and wanted to get out of the Bahamas a bigger jet would've been available but there wasn't a pilot so this dude forged everything and got them in a smaller jet since it was just 8 ppl he didn't think they would bring that much stuff on board.

I garuntee you other artists record companys dont allow them(just to be cheap) to fly with their entire team squeezed on there. If they care about their artist they look after safety and comfort. They are given a jet or plane that can comfortably fly the amount of people they have with them. She flew there to the Bahamas on a tiny Cessnas that they assigned for her without giving a fuck about her. Point blank!
