He was more muscular than Mr. Rambour and NEVER took any drugs. (How could he? The motherfucker PREDATED Dr. Ziegler's Dianabol!)
Are you one of these infinite kids who've never trained and stupidly associate ANY development with AAS, or are you a bit sharper (if not particularly articulate) and maintain that this Rambour fellow, for reasons I hope you'll explain, MUST have used something in his prep to look like that onstage?
You claim Rambour's using something? Great. The onus is on you to prove it. Nothing about his physique screams AAS to me.
Ironically, your pithy little comment perfectly demonstrates why I said what I did. It's just like a bunch of kids or people who know sweet fuck-all about bodybuilding to look at this guy and scream, "Ooo, STEROIDS!"
You're tossing me a red herring. The subject isn't modern bodybuilding in general (which, yes, is large predicated on drugs, the natural associations aside). The subject is whether John Rambour necessarily took/takes AAS to achieve that physique.
I suggest you look up bodybuilders from before 1956 (if I have to explain why, eh ... here again, you'd prove my first point). A bunch of those guys carried at least as much mass, if not more, than Rambour.
Before '56, when Dianabol was invented (that's one of those boogeyman steroids!), Marvin Eder, Reg Park, Steve Reeves, John Grimek and many other natural bodybuilders carried more mass than Rambour does.
That's simple logic, man. He MIGHT be on something, since naturals have carried more muscle, neither his size or conditioning scream, "This is a guy juiced to the gills."
The way you talk about this cat, you'd think he was Jay Cutler! LMAO.
@senatus "this cat" wtf did you grow up in some 50's nostalgia house, anyway enough with your rambling, anybody as insecure who keeps defending others for their use of steroids has nothing better to do, so you keep rolling your eyes, sit your obese self behind a computer screen, and just keep rambling on, haven't you figured it out that your words mean shit in this world.
@drakeneyez: Calm down. You're making a real ass of yourself.
As a principle, I don't like to see people being mislead. When an ignorant person like you comes along and says Rambour's physique can't be achieved without using steroids, I don't find that "offensive"; nonetheless, it is definitely not constructive. If a clueless person reads such a lie often enough, he will believe it.
You conflate bodybuilding with drug use. Some of us do not use. What's so hard to understand about that?
@senatus besides, you never even answered my question, repeating, why are you so offended by the mention of steroids? if my comment, similar to many many others, has no merit, then you shouldn't be worried, just brush it off your shoulders, but you're insecure, and anal. Just keep questioning other people, without justifying your own words.
I also see you've no proof that this guy's using anything. I realize that's impossible to conclusively demonstrate, but you could at _least_ try and point out some gyno or something :-\
If we were talking about Michael Lockett or Ade Rai, self-proclaimed naturals who OBVIOUSLY run cycles here and there, you might have a point. As-is, you see a bodybuilder who would be VERY lucky to win a local natural show and think you're clever for accusing him of drug use. That's lame, man.
@senatus proof? oh I apologize, I wasn't aware this was a cyber court room. It's funny though how bullshitters like you who keep rambling nonsense cannot even realize how much they contradict themselves. It's sad and pathetic how you keep asking for proof, when you cannot provide any proof that they don't use steroids, it's just your assumptions, but clearly you have nothing better to assume, it's typical of your type of person. I can conclusively conclude that you're a lifeless parasite. Bye.
@drakeneyez: You can't disagree with someone without assuming he's a ... lifeless, obese, insecure parasite. Jesus, man. That's sad.
Why is it so hard for you to listen to someone more experienced in such matters and admit that body CAN be built sans drugs? Stop being so lazy, find some pics taken at almost ANY local-level natural bodybuilding show and compare those physiques to Rambour's. Do that, and even if you're not man enough to admit it to me, admit to yourself that you're wrong.
I can see that most of these dudes during the off-season have no abdominal definition. That's good to know that they too can't maintain it year round.

Draken,
Have you looked up "Marvin Eder" on Youtube yet?
He was more muscular than Mr. Rambour and NEVER took any drugs. (How could he? The motherfucker PREDATED Dr. Ziegler's Dianabol!)

Damned good physique. Ignore comments by anyone who haven't trained for 10 or more years.

@senatus it doesn't take 10 years to inject yourself with steroids

@senatus and you're getting offended because? because it's the truth? Ya like you need a degree to figure out what bodybuilding is all about.

Would you kindly explain how that's so?

@senatus I highly doubt jon rambour is a bodybuilder from the pre 1956 era
