  • I have heard that using grip dip makes your weapons fairly stiff and sometimes too hard, any advice on how to fix this?

  • @nikk666 Take a neddle and poke a bunck of little holes all around the outside when everything is dry. The grip dip makes it hard becaust it doesn't leave a way for the air to escape the foam. The holes allow this to happen, and in a sense making it softer when it strikes something.

  • @ogunshi So essentially like any other boffer then. Hypothetically what would happen if i used open cell foam for a stab tip. I help run a NERO chapter in ohio and we have been trying to figure out how to make a stab tip for latex. Any thoughts?

  • hey man great videos love them but can ya get a new camera

  • @MyNintendoGaming Thanks. I'm glad you like them. As for the camera, sure, as soon as some one either buys me one or forks over the money so I can go out and buy one.

  • You know, that's a good call with the 3/4" insulation on 1/2" pipe.

Gotta be more effective compression... thanks!

  • i was wondering if there was any way to add blade looking things

  • Curious if your gonna make the 4th video to latex sword making? if so cant wait!

  • instead of a penny u could use a pvc end piece but make sure u compensate in the foam cutting proses and that its within regulations

  • @reznorected You could but then, like you said, you would need to compensate for the size differences. This is only a quick and dirty way to make one. As for regulations, well that all depends on which system you are using. For every system out there, there are different regulations and standards that need to be met. Which system are you talking about?

  • Dap is a contact cement, Let it dry on each piece, and press it together. It will bind to itself.

  • hey great videos, but i was trying to find grip dip that you mentioned but have had no luck, what exactly is it? and where do i find it?

  • "Grip Dip" is a latex/plastic coating material used to replace the handle coating on tools then they have worn off. It can normally be found at 'Home Depot' and other hardware stores. If worse comes to worst you can buy it on line.

  • hey man this is great video. I'm just starting to get into larping and i wanted to make a mace since it seemed simple enough. I just have one remark could you make a list of the products you used, I have some problem hearing their names

  • Hey man, did you ever think of re-making this with your normal camera? It would be awesome - I could make a couple for LAIRE...

  • This is pretty cool, but i was wondering when you were going to complete the latex sword making tutorial, i'm going to make a latex katana, but i dont know how. Please help.

  • Another nice video. I was just thinking of making a mace, so thanks for the advice.

  • How much does it cost for the Resin?

  • it is just the fiberglass resin you can pick up at walmart. I know that I have a big gallon of it, but you can buy smaller jars of the stuff for like $5 to $10 bucks. It also comes with the hardener. One small jar of the fiberglass can fill something like 100 weapon cores.

  • ogunshi , i'm just getting started in to making foam/latex weapons. i have enjoyed the info in your videos. thank you very much for the time you have taken out of your busy day to make these videos.
