@stevebailey69 Empty weight 22,450Ib, max take off weight, 50, 000Ib. On this flight here it was probably on its normal loaded weight of 22, 680Ib. Hope that helps:-)

The first time I saw one of these is when I was in Biloxi, MS during Hurricane Katrina. We were searching for relatives and found my aunt and uncle patching up their home when all of a sudden there was this loud noise and I looked over and one was taking off from a large grassy area.

These things are loud and massive in person!

Really like this helicopter, you're lucky in the US the Chinooks don't really put on displays that push the aircraft to the limit.
