I have 3 JRTs and I LOVE them all. They are amazing dogs and I cannot imagine my life without them.
oh and YES OMG they do shed...I have all short-hairs and I have a lint roller with me at all times. People who come to my houe know that they will have to deal with fur!!! Honestly, I like finding one of their little hairs on me when I am away from them...kinda like taking a little piece of them with me!!!
Just came across your video today and I can not believe it. My JRT is named Rambo also. I named him that because I rescued him from a home that had 3 Chow dogs that used him as a chew toy when he was 7 months old. I named him Rambo for his ability to survive and toughness.
He only has one visible scar now almost a year later. I could not have asked for a better dog, this breed sure is special.

There's nothing wrong with Russell's. Obviously they're energetic but they tend to calm down somewhat with proper training and age. I've had mine for almost 13 years and even though she can be a handful and wanting to go on walks at 2 am, she's still the best pet I've ever had. Do your research before adopting or buying any pet.

I have a Jack Russel Terrier, and I must agree knowing what I know, I wouldn't get one again. The only reason why I don't give her up for adoption is because I know she will either be abused, put down, or neglected. People think these are cute dogs, when in reality they are a lot of work and shouldn't be in an urban enviorment. So many of them are abandonded that a group called 'Russell Rescue' was created just for them.
lol uh.. assuming you are completely serious with that comment...don't you know that jack russell terriers were bred for fox hunting? their constant barking is a trait needed in fox hunting. oh and by the way, kangals are so cute. i love big dogs but i have a jack russell terrier and he's just as great. my neighbors are noisier and louder than my dog d:
i have 2 great danes, and its not easy. my sister has a jack russel, if u mean that the russells are hella hyper, then i agree, my danes just love attention and arent hyper at all, but health wise, danes give me hell.
yeah i don't know about danes but my kangal is easy to raise it doesn't ask TOO much attention, it doesn't eat too much (i mean it's not a monster what eats 24/7) it is 8 years old now and i only take it to the vet when a control is needed, (all dogs) but next to that i never had to take him to a vet because of sickness or illness or flees or anything.
the only thing is they get aggressive if you keep them in a house, i suggest to buy a kangal only if you have a large garden. (good guards too)
danes are awesome dogs, dont get mr wrong. my sister in law is only 7 and she plays with my danes all the time, they are loving family dogs. but like i said, health wise, like any large breed, they can get cancer easily. also, since they are so big, their bones can get weak and break. the male i have has never gotten sick, but ive had 2 females, and they have gotten sick soo many times. they are very fragile.

i just say if you need a (very very very very very very) protective, social and big dog and you don't have very much time for your dog and if you have a big garden then you must buy a kangal, i live in turkey and i know the values of kangals are more then 1200 dollar in america but you can get one from turkey for free only you have to pay for the vet to check the pup of course.. ;)
I live in Puerto Rico and people here dont know the real value of ANY DOG! I recently got a female harlequin dane, beautiful dog!...and i only sold her for 600, and people stillw anted it cheaper. In the states a dane of those colors would easily cost around 1,200 dollars. People here, all they want are chihuahuas or tiny little dogs. smaller dogs are actually more violent then the large breed. Danes are knows as gentle giants.
Yes, they shed horribly. I use a shop vac on mine every day and she still sheds. I used to think this one couple I knew was ridiculous when they were talking about their JRT saying "oh, we don't wear black anymore." They were right.
JRTs shed immensely 24/7 year round every day. it might be a bit annoying having white hair everywhere sticking to all your clothes and furniture and all of that but for me, i got used to it eventually lol. it doesn't bother me anymore. i encourage him to sleep comfortably on furniture when my dad isn't home lol

You have a darling dog just love him and walk him at least 30 minutes a day. I have a JRT named Listo and he is 8 and is very active. I bought a treadmill for him at house sale best $20. spent for walking on him inclimatic days.
Trust me that isn't cruel if he had the free run of the house he would destroy things he has plenty of room it looks pretty good to me. I have a 7 week old Jack Russell and she is kept in a cage because to be honest I don't want to tread in dog shit when I get up in the morning.
Yeh it is, you house train your dog, you don't just keep in in a cage because you havent trained it. They learn not to distroy things, i have 2 terriers, and a lab, and they have learnt to be very respectful of the house. It depends what your attitude to dogs is. If it's i can't be bothered, i'll just put it in a cage, then you dont deserve a dog.
That was when I was house training him. He roams the house like it's his, sleeps in my bed with me, goes to the park 3 times a week so don't comment on things you don't really know about, I don't keep him in a cage because I haven't trained him....I love that dog like a son....
He's not even caging him up lol. That space is quite spacious for a little guy like him. This way would be the best way to paper train a puppy. After a little bit, the puppy would be accustomed to peeing and pooping on only one area and only on that type of material when indoors.
my jack russell's name is Murphy. she's about 7 months old and such a little sweetie, but she won't take any crap from my dad's 7-year-old jack russell, Dugan. it's hysterical how she'll slap his face with her paw if he chases her around too much.

"you guys are murders???" I don't what the heck your talking about. I'm Rambo's dad and he has a beautiful life. He actually sleeps in between me and my wife. He roams around the house whenever he wants now that he's potty trained. We had to have him in the kitchen when we were potty training him when he was a puppy! I take him to the dog park around 4 to 5 times a week so don't comment on things you have no idea about!
JRTs are extremely active dogs. highly intelligent......can understand human words very easily. they have a fast metabolism and are constantly hungry. they need a good fenced yard to run around in and they should be walked 30 mins every day. they are not a "house dog". they love to run hunt and sniff things out. my pure-bred JRT is now 7yo and she is still hyperactive lol(as you will see in my vids).

Mine's never really chewed that much. Mad bitch that she is, I am truly converted to them as a breed and don't think I've got a better mate than her. And Rambo is so cute (if he needs a girlfriend in the UK, Jessie would really fancy him LOL).
mine used to sleep in my shoes and i almost killed him but luckily i saw his tail and pulled him out ( he was about 8 inchs witch is a perfect fit for my show)

Trust me that isn't cruel if he had the free run of the house he would destroy things he has plenty of room it looks pretty good to me. I have a 7 week old Jack Russell and she is kept in a cage because to be honest I don't want to tread in dog shit when I get up in the morning.

Yeh it is, you house train your dog, you don't just keep in in a cage because you havent trained it. They learn not to distroy things, i have 2 terriers, and a lab, and they have learnt to be very respectful of the house. It depends what your attitude to dogs is. If it's i can't be bothered, i'll just put it in a cage, then you dont deserve a dog.

That was when I was house training him. He roams the house like it's his, sleeps in my bed with me, goes to the park 3 times a week so don't comment on things you don't really know about, I don't keep him in a cage because I haven't trained him....I love that dog like a son....

He's not even caging him up lol. That space is quite spacious for a little guy like him. This way would be the best way to paper train a puppy. After a little bit, the puppy would be accustomed to peeing and pooping on only one area and only on that type of material when indoors.

my jack russell's name is Murphy. she's about 7 months old and such a little sweetie, but she won't take any crap from my dad's 7-year-old jack russell, Dugan. it's hysterical how she'll slap his face with her paw if he chases her around too much.

mine is Rocky III, about 13 years ago, had Rocky I, died in car accident, then had Rocky II for 12 years, and now have Rocky III, still a puppy...:)

He is soo cute! He almost looks like my JRT, Charlie! JRTs are crazy. Always go go go. I think JRs are a really good breed even though they're wacky. Nice to see he has a fabulous home and tons of toys!

"you guys are murders???" I don't what the heck your talking about. I'm Rambo's dad and he has a beautiful life. He actually sleeps in between me and my wife. He roams around the house whenever he wants now that he's potty trained. We had to have him in the kitchen when we were potty training him when he was a puppy! I take him to the dog park around 4 to 5 times a week so don't comment on things you have no idea about!

JRTs are extremely active dogs. highly intelligent......can understand human words very easily. they have a fast metabolism and are constantly hungry. they need a good fenced yard to run around in and they should be walked 30 mins every day. they are not a "house dog". they love to run hunt and sniff things out. my pure-bred JRT is now 7yo and she is still hyperactive lol(as you will see in my vids).
i hope you get your JRT soon. you wont regret it :)
