The only person i would put in the same league is the great Shaukat Hussain Khansahib. Ustad didn't really get the recognition he deserved compared to Ustad Allah Rahka but was exceptional nonetheless, and came from the same gharana and ustad as Ustad Allah Rakha

There is a longer film with much of the same footage. It was played at his first barsi at NCPA, Mumbai. Love to see it again. He was the lion of the Punjab Gharana. Long live Abbaji!!
