  • Members of Congress have the same health insurance as all federal employees. However, I opted out when I was elected so I do not have federal employee health insurance.

  • You're lucky to have that option. I wish I did. I'm not looking for free health care (no such thing IMO), just a decent plan where I can't be turned down. Right now I can only get health care insurance because of my wife's job. My biggest fear is that if she lost her job, we will be not be insurable.
