  • You have no pants- no pants at all! (anyone got a good next line?)

  • What is up with the bright yellow socks?

  • For some reason when I listen to the end of "Dog Eats the Dog" it makes me feel like something happened to Thenardier that made him the way he is, such as hoping God would help him through a time of need, but when things didn't work out he resorted to being the way he is now. MAkes me feel sorry for him if that is what it actually is.

  • @BecomeMyNewCat i know it's a good song, but at the same time it's like really creepy.

  • It's like a rule, no matter what else happens in the production, Enjolras must be awesome.

  • DAMN YOU GUARDSMEN!! YOU KILLED ALL MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS!! Eponine, Gavroche, Ejolras and Grantaire RIP. They kill them off and let Cosette live? Come on!

  • @GingerGirl1113 lol those are my favorite characters too!!!!

  • Curious question... How do you pronounce the name 'Enjolras?'

  • @SKIVEAN "Enjolras" being a French name, is actually mispronounced in this concert. You say is kind of like "On jshol rah" If that makes any sense to you. The "s" is silent. If you can, ask a French person.

  • At 1:25... that's amazing! What a moment, with the lights and music working perfectly together to capture the emotion of the scene.

  • Although The Final Battle is not one of the main pieces of Les Miserables, and its so short, its one of my favorite pieces of the show. One, because its so freaking powerful and warlike. Two, the quiet orchestration after it is just so...beautiful.. But of course this just HAD to be the scene where my favorite charactar, especially when he's being played by Ramin Karimloo, has to DIE. UGH. But anyway, props to that oboe solo! Damn! Oh, and the soldier guy in the beginning! He was pretty good!

  • Does the Final battle reminds anyone else to the Iranian revolution last year and the risings in Egypt and Tunisia recently?

  • "salutes" 1:23

  • This part is so sad!!!! It makes me so sad cuz Gavroche dies!!! I LOVE Gavroche!!! It makes me so sad that so many people die!

  • How great is that transition to the sewers??! Especially with the video in the background.

  • Who plays Thernandier (think thats right?) He's really into the character haha

  • @brunswickbball11 That would be Matt Lucas. He's fab.

  • ramin <3

  • 1:52 to 3:46

My favourite instrumental part in the whole musical. Love the harp.

  • Matt Lucas

  • I'm sad they didn't show Gavroche's or any of the other deaths. I always weep so when he dies.

I love this Thenardier, but I keep watching his teeth and being totally grossed out, lol.

  • the first time I watched this I was kinda oblivious to what was happening, probably because it was 2:30 in the morning

and all I thought at 1:26 was "my, that's a bright light"

yeah, it's the light of death :|

    so sad :(

  • :40 is totally Ramin's Phantom pose!!

  • Ahahaha, nice save with that FREE, Ramin

  • My God... Matt Lucas is SOOO intense in this part. You clearly see the angst and hate of this character in him face...

  • I wish they kept the part with Gavroche's death. I don't mean I want to see him die, that poor soul. But don't you think it's an important part? Why cut it out?

  • @JulieWinchester Ok THANKS!!

  • WHY COULDN'T THEY HAVE WON?!!!

  • @wongkunkun Because if I remember well my history lessons, we really had barricades when Lamarque died (I say we because I'm French). And it did NOT end well. So I guess it's because they didn't want to... I don't know the word, I guess they wanted to respect historical facts. Having them winning would be like... I don't know, like if Germany won WW2 in a musical.

  • @wongkunkun I checked on wikipedia, and I was right. When Lamarque died, it was the excuse French people needed to start a revolution. It was repressed by the troops, killing around 800 people, and other people got death penalty...

  • "Let others rise to take our place until the WORLD IS FREE!"

Go Egypt! Go Libya! And the whole damn middle east that's up in arms, and anyone else who dares to fight for their freedom and the freedom of those they love! Let there be liberty and justice throughout the world!

Damn their warnings, Damn their lies. THEY will see that people rise.

  • Whoever mixed this for the DVD should have used a little bit of reverb, because this recording sounds a bit flat, not pitch wise, but to me it doesn't sound as big as it should be. I heard a few bootleg recordings of this concert and the sound was so much bigger.

  • Easily one of the most dramatic songs ever. Everyone should know this song by heart. I'm suprised it's not like an anthem

Oh yeah and that oboe around 2:08 was spot-on perfect.

  • Easily one of the most dramatic songs ever. Everyone should know this song by heart. I'm suprised it's not like an anthem

  • Hahahahhah, that oboe player definitely shit himself.

  • Final Battle for us in Porthcawl tonight! :( Sad times! Les Miserables 2011 comes to an end, it has been an amazing journey!

  • so many damn lights!!! WOW!

  • im glad they didnt act out the final battle

lord knows i would start crying like a baby if i saw ramin wave that red flag and the diee

dammit veljean screw marius you should have saved enjolras!!!!

  • Wiat the Gavrouch dies?

    HOW?!

    seriously sadden now

  • @luvmusicart18 SPOILER ALERT: during the second battle they run short of ammo he goes over the barricade to pick some up off of the dead soldiers, and he gets shot.

  • @Poptartza Thanks so much now i know

  • @luvmusicart18

he goes on the other side of the barricade to get more bullets cuz they where running out

and even though enjolras and the rest told him not to go. Gavorouch starts signing that little people people song and somone fires at him a few times and he gets hit and dies

    sooo sad

  • they cut the applaue part!!!!

  • Thanx for posting this its great! I was wondering if Gavrouch's death scene is on the dvd? or if they just left it out

  • @melbrooks It wasn't on there :( Sucks really.

  • @melbrooks I'm thinking that they left it out just like the 10th anniversary. I don't know if anybody noticed, but the dvd of the 10 anniversary has some seens with Gavrouch that were cut out from the orginal VHS. I don't know why, but thats the only thing I didn't like about the 10 anniversary. It was obvious where they made the cuts.

  • Out of all the sad parts in Les Mis, I cry the most during the Final Battle. Why? BECAUSE ENJOLRAS DIES!!!!! He's my favorite character, ESPECIALLY when played by Ramin. <3 <3 <3

  • I remember sitting in the audience and when I saw the transition from the streets of Paris to the Sewers on the screens I almost burst! That is FABULOUS!

  • Thank's a million for posting this, I love the high enthusiasm going on in the final battle. The guy said that they had no friends? Yeah, right! If every fangirl of the baricade boys was there that night, the revolutionaries would have successfully crushed the soldiers a hundred times over!

  • @mirkwoodshieldmaiden Haha! Totally agree. Nick or Ramin's fans alone would have made the battle easy ;)

  • @scullen08 LOL that is true, they'd be so pissed at people trying to hurt their teenage crushes they'd demolish anyone in their way >:D

  • @mirkwoodshieldmaiden I definetly agree!!!!

  • @mirkwoodshieldmaiden Should have dragged the audience up there! Then they would have won!
