he got a serious illness and found himself. same exact thing happened to me. it really opens your eyes when you spend time in a hospital and get out. inspiring to me. i don't care that he converted to Islam, I think it's great he found he's spirituality. What a great song ! I remember when the movie Harold and Maude came out with Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon. I went to see it just because Cat Stevens did the sound track. I'm Glad I went because of the sound track.The movie ended up being satiriacally bazzare and very funny. IT became a cult classic !

NS9144....I heard that this song encompasses his journey to the spiritual path he is on now. I didn't have to "hear it" from someoe else, though, it is obvious to me. The lyrics have universality for anyone on a serious spirirual path. Ironically, I have neded up on the same path as he. It saddens me to see anyone - especially those in the public eye - to use religion as a tool for their philanthropy or their hatred. Searching is one thing. Claiming that you have found what you have been searching for is conceited at best. Steven Georgiou was a good man while he gave us hope that there could be a better world to come. Once he crossed over to Islam he became polarized.

What a great song ! I remember when the movie Harold and Maude came out with Bud Cort and Ruth Gordon. I went to see it just because Cat Stevens did the sound track. I'm Glad I went because of the sound track.The movie ended up being satiriacally bazzare and very funny. IT became a cult classic !

I've loved his music for Thirty Five Years even if I only liked the song at the beginning(when I was an egg). He grew, evolved, but he maintained a message of thinking, learning, embracing life. A feel good movie? The woman who has brought Harold to life after his various "suicide attempts" takes her own life at the end of the film. He screams and openly weeps at her death. He hangs himself at the beginning of the movie and throws his car off a cliff at the end of it. If that's your feel good movie, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants must have put you in a deep depression for weeks. . . Yikes!

NS9144....I heard that this song encompasses his journey to the spiritual path he is on now. I didn't have to "hear it" from someoe else, though, it is obvious to me. The lyrics have universality for anyone on a serious spirirual path. Ironically, I have neded up on the same path as he.
