This is actually a pretty good idea, and if you modify it by using a telescoping mirror it might be small enough to take on longer trips.

i just bought a bike and found out that trhe oil level is too high. is it okay if i drain a portion of it to bring it just about the upper level marker? thanks

if you checked it when its hot and its high yes drain a little better to have a little less than too much it will cause alot of pressure good luck RIDE ON

good luck draining it you donkey, you have to pull the drain bolt and quickly swap the crush washer then put the drain bolt back in... by that time there is oil every where and your almost empty just do a proper oil change.
