@autophenom I think you misunderstood me. Campbell has underperformed, but Hossa has been great for the Blackhawks. His contract is just so big. Hossa doesn't always light up the score board, but he is great defensively and very responsible. I'm a Detroit fan so it was really hard to let him go. Chicago is just going through what Detroit did last year with the cap. Only Chicago's situation is far worse because of the position they set themselves up for the past few years.

If Hossa, Kane, or Toews, goes down with an injury, they will really only have one scoring line. And that isn't good enough. In the long term, it's hard to say who will be better. both teams have a lot of good prospects coming in. Chicago sure looks to be in a better position with 88 and 19, but we'll see. They are the Champs as of right now.
