  • If he was healthy and would've kept improving Gren Oden is the next Dikembe Mutumbo

  • forget oden he is a bust.

  • what i want to know is what made scouts want this player i mean at that time kevin durant could do that and more was it cause of greg's gifted defensive ablity or what

  • Not impressive. If you wanna see an impressive big man in high school look at a amara staudemire high school highlight video, puts this one to shame.

  • @Fitplayer66 Hard to believe because Amare doesn't play defense. The defense Oden plays in this he actually does in the NBA. Amare is a weak defender.

  • @Fitplayer66 uhh, no. How about. STFU

  • i hear oden is at 275 and is doing alot of drills off 1 foot and his vert is getting up there. hes had a women now for a while and maybe she is working him out? oden will bring us a championship. teams hardly win without a legit 7 footer. since the ShaQ 3-peat, theres been 03' duncan, 04' wallace, 05' Duncan, 06' Shaq, 07' Duncan, 08' Garnett and 09' bynum/gasol. and like all these teams the big man had great teammates around to spread the load. god willing next year we get it. i say 11' Oden

  • @Habeev07 yeah but this year miami is gonna win without having a legit big man :]

  • It's the curse of the Portland Trailblazers #1 draft pick (at center of course) 1st Bill Walton, then Sam Bowie and now ... Greg Oden. It's a shame too, because all the Blazers really need from is his rebounding & shot-blocking 2 b a contender in the West. Oh well, just call him ... Sam Walton ha, ha, ha. Nah, just kidding, I wish the best for Greg, he's definintely a good kid and great talent.

  • I wouldnt count Oden out yet, allll sorts of potential

  • 1:53 i his grunt still hasnt changed :)

  • He is a RE-ENCARNATION of Sam Bowie, he went to Portland as # 1 pick and, how long he lasted traveling team to team because because of his injuries on why he got traded here and there. Greg Oden is Sam Bowie reborn. Just count the games on how much he will play by the end of this year probably half or less.

  • Well, you might think he is the best aziaticfolife but have you ever heard of Sam Bowie, i think he is a re-encarnation of him. number 1 pick and got into many injuries just look good when he is healthy but he career will be cut short because of injuries, he will not last that long in the NBA, lucky if he last 10 yrs, but he is a walking injury plage just waitng to be happen. look at his 1st year, do nothing but observe. 2nd year 1st game injury, it's a matter of time he will be out of the NBA.

  • hey Portland, have you heard the "The Herd" on Oden; you got a softie role player. Two games, what 5 pts? You got a good solid center, but no HOF...sorry Porland

  • wanna say that again?

i wonder what "The Turd" is thinking now. oden's looking like a beast and cowherd is looking like.. well, cowherd. that guy's a joke. and you're a bigger joke for praising the guy. LMAO.

  • what is this a high school pick up game?

  • no it's aau

  • Oden is a defensive wizard.

  • There is everyone else... and then there is Greg Oden. Seriously, he is like a head taller than everyone on the court

  • Oden is going to be a part of the team here in Portland. We already have Roy, Jack, T-Law and of course Aldridge. That, my firend, is going to be a helluva starting line-up in a year or two. Patience, ya'll, patience.

  • Do you people watch college ball? he was better then average but never dominated. Kareem, russel, even shack dominated in college and they had better competition. He will make an all star game or two, but he won't take the horrible run portland anywhere.

  • "horrible run portland" Have you not been watching professional ball for the last two years? They are the fastest improving team in the league. And with a dominant force like Oden in the middle, there will be more than one championship brought to portland. mark my words.

  • I'm glad you are upbeat about Portlands chances, and happy that you didn't resort to name calling like a lot of other portland fans have done. But you don't make it into the lottery by being a well run team, you get in the lottery by making bad choices like trading away a fat selfish hood, who still happens to be one of the best 4's in the nba, for next to nothing. Oh by the way I'm a life long celtic fan, so fire away.

  • exactly randolph was selfish and he was the last of the jail blazers, except for darius but he will surely be waived. The new era has begun. And youre a celtic fan huh. Looks like you made a good deal for telfair. lol

  • I cant really remember but did shaq, kareem, and russel play college with their off hand? im not sure.

  • you're right i seem to remember something about his right hand being so he had to play with his left all year... weird

  • He isnt going to be instant greatnest, he is very overrated, a player like him, what is he exactly????

He looks like a guys who cant stay in a game because he is always in oful trouble and a guy who has very low stamina. He didnt dominate college ball where he played against much smaller talent, and he dominated one game all year and that was against Florida.

  • a player like this comes along once in around 10 years and hes "over rated" lol

  • ODEN is A BLAZER< YAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, and he is a great player

  • It'a a new Shaquille O'neal.

  • Oden isnt overrated jus need to play against bigger people sayin future hall famer the guy hasnt even been in a fuckin nba gm an people talkin great n comparin to bill russell hes probably russells age look at him he looks about 30 sumtin

  • geg oden is overrated i think he will just be another ben wallace great defensive player but no offensive

  • well no shit he is always blocking smaller guys...no1 is bigger than him

  • it's almost as if he's playing against 5th graders!

I don't know about anyone else but he don't look like he's 19-20 yrs old. He looks at the minimum 26-27. Like.. Kobe and Bron looked their age.. this guy?? I don't know!!??

  • he's always blocking smaller guys because throughout the years most of his competetors have been smaller than him -_- but in five years he'll be just as effective against NBA players

  • Greath helpside shotblocker. Makes you think twice before you go into the paint. Can't wait to see him matchup against Howard, Ming and O'Neal.

  • Haha, I cant wait until he blocks the hell out of Yao Ming. Thats going to be awesome. Watch out Amare, the best is yet to come. 2007-2008.

  • at least he can't shoot . he can defend and dunk though.

  • blazers can have oden! seattle wants kevin durrant!

  • seattle doesnt want durant, they just say that so portland will take durant and seattle can get oden. durants kind of like the consolation prize.

  • i remember when i thought darko milcic was gonna be the shit so now im gonna not say shit. he plays good NOW. i hope he plays good in the nba

  • Darko was a different case, he's a euro, NBA is a totaly different game, it takes them a bit to adjust. The NBA has no dominant center, there is plenty of room for Oden to completly dominate at that position over everyone...as a rookie.

  • true. i hope to god oden plays with the same dominance

  • RUNRUT NBA dosent have a dominat center just slow yao young dwight old shaq and two power forwards who play centers duncan and garnett who both dominate

  • fuck you, that's just mean

  • he looks gd but it's too early to say he's a "future" hall of famer...

  • Oden and Conley went to my highschool. i never talked to them though.

  • why not?

  • this needs music its too boring witout it

  • he needs to speed upp or power up

  • I am from Fort Wayne and referee basketball for Spiece. Conley and Oden dominated for the Indy Heat. They won the Nationals the last 3 years, and those 2 are gonna lead OSU to the NCAA Championship. nuff said

  • talk about a man among boys

  • e gordon is ok, but is nothing like Conely or Oden. nothing THAT major.

  • well oden no but proly conely i wasn't thinkin when i wrote the other 1 but i still stand behind it although his post moves are getting a lot better

  • believe it

  • u want a real player type in e gordon vs g oden eric gordan will be the bigger super star

  • next SHAQ or KG

he's going to the SIXERS though

  • no way proly like a ben wallace only taller he has no post moves all he does is tip the ball in or dunk

  • Oden + Bulls = Another Dynasty (in a few years)

  • hes 7 foot, right?

  • i cant wait to see him on the floor in january for ohio state

  • I think he might get owned in the NBA in his rookie year.

  • You have to have some sort of an offensive game to be a hall of famer.

  • He says he plans on staying at Ohio St. for more than 1 year and I hope he follows through on that though 1st pick money is hard to pass up.

  • If the NBA didnt change the rules where you could'nt come out of high scool then he would be in the NBA if he chose to but Amare is better.

  • He said that he wouldnt enter the draft even if he could bypass college

  • This kid gets up pretty quick for his size and he's still growing. He's like a combination of Amare & the Admiral; very impressive.

  • He needs to go to the Suns, Amare + Oden = collective NBA shit brick in fear.

  • oden is a BEAST. cant wait til he's in the nba

  • he'll do at the very least what andrew bogut did his first year. like dwight howard or chris bosh, just grab boards, play D and let the offensive game come on its own. i'll predict now he'll be in the top 5 in blocked shots his 1st year in NBA

  • this dude is good...

  • GOOD

  • lol of course he needs college dude, just cause he has the same body dont mean he have the same basketball IQ,he needs more EXP, and look at the guys hes playing they are like 3 or 4 inches smaller then him

  • Look at amare same body and jumping skills, I dont think he need much college, but who knows....

  • everybody except LeBron needs college... Oden nees to figure out his foot work while he can do that and still dominate... he wont enter the next draft i'm willing to bet...

  • He will be good if he stays in college. If he stays one year i dont think he'll be ready for the NBA. So i think he should stay at Ohio State till he is a Junior or something. But i think he'll be a great basketball player in the NBA
