This showcase concentrates on one tool really, and that is power. So home runs factor the heaviest, but we rely heavily on scouts for recommendations, so that usually weeds out the 'false positives'...If a kid has 12 HRs and he plays in South Florida, TX, or Cali, 99% of the time he's legit, but we do have to do a lot of homework if a kid has 16 HRs but plays in TN on a field w/ no fences. Each year we refine/tweak the selection process, and we are stoked about this year's group!
This PowerShowcase is an awesome idea. I love it. Have you ever had more than one rep from a state. Because obviously Texas might have 3 kids all better than the Wisconsin Rep so the other 2 from Texas kinda get hosed.
you cant really go on any of these videos and have at least 1 person claiming someone on here has taken steriods. so i have a question. do you drug test before the competition?
ok,I didn't play this year for some problems but I'm going to my country and practice for the next 3 month,so If I'm able to be one of the first in my state I can be able to go there..good but hard at the same time because Harper live where I live....thanks you and good videos
attends oak forest, class of 2011. first team all state as a freshman, batted .495, 13 Hrs, 15 2bs, led the state in RBIs and second all time for illinois with 73.
did you end up getting tim barry from illinois?

For the selection process for 2010, when will the scouts be checking out the kids, throughout the season? Our HS plays fall and springs ball.

do these players have to have a certain amount of home runs during their seasons and so on, or is it about just being an outstanding player?

Yes, we have multiple reps from FL, CA, TX, AZ, GA, the hot beds are obviously represented heavier than Wyoming, the Dakotas, etc...

okay thats awesome then. Is there any age limit or do the kids just have to at least be still in high school?
JimmyLipp 2 years ago
right, just have to be in HS
