looking to go to UNLV in the next few years after ive finished college in the uk, does anyone know if it will cost alot to go to UNLV and will it be hard to get in

I am not taking all these negative comments personally, but I really want to speak for other talented students in UNLV. I know how high the acceptance rate is it for UNLV, ys, ys, it is really high. However, it really doesn't mean all the people who come here are idiots or what. I am only a freshman right now, a lot of Americans in my ENG 101 class are locals who got into school such as UCLA, UCSD, USC & Cornell and did not go bc of the tuition fee. I am not making all these up, haters.

i'm from Italy. i'm moving to the states next year to study at UNLV since i've got a cousin in vegas. i firmly hope everything will be fine to me there. i'm kinda scared actually. is UNLV that bad like they say?? i"m considering to enroll at UCLA but it's too far.

So i guess this girl is too dumb to go to ivies but good enough for one of the crappiest university in america? lol, my cousin graduated from unlv with a worthless hotel admin degree in 07', still unemployed, still looking for a job. She spent over 100k on housing, out of state (international student fees) tuitions ect. She got 100k education from school that noone knows about.

Damn, I use to work at the desk in the Student Union building in 2007. If your cousin saw a dude at the desk playing a Gibson SG that was me. There is actually alot of Asians that go to UNLV for business. I found the campus area boring believe it or not. Once you live in Vegas for a while you find other things to do besides hand out on the Strip. I think college is over rated in many ways, but there are many colleges worst then UNLV.

lol do you know that international students who goes to shitty schools like that are total dummies back home? name other schools worse than unlv. you probably can't because unlv would take 2.3's. and what is that like C minus gpa? you figure most of UC schools only takes students above 3.5's, and half the people get rejected every year. as for my cousin, she got married to a korean guy who works for mgm doing an accounting and guess what? she is still unemployed, lol.

I can't say that I'm the smartest person out there, but alot of those Asian students seemed alot smarter than most American students. I think it is because the US doesn't provide much in education and they just jacked up tuition at UNLV this year. I know that they did not have much in terms of a job hook up and know that I think about it I wish I would have sometimes stayed at my school in Colorado. Does she still live in Vegas? That town is not doing so good right now.

@80sJpopforever thanks for making that comment...I am currently an international student in UNLV, and I did get in all the top schools you couldn't get in (USC UC-B whatever u like). Still, I chose to come to UNLV because I felt to do so. Please still respect each other even though it is on the internet. THANK YOU.
