Sony will price the NGP too high for the mass market, and 3DS will be the cheaper alternative.

Trust me, the 3DS will sell very well. Nintendo is marketing this thing like crazy in Japan, and the hype for the 3DS is insane.

It's all about the games. Sony isn't targeting the "casual" audience with the NGP, they're going after the mainstream gamers (PlayStation/Xbox fans). Nintendo has a bigger advantage this way, a bigger potential market.

@LotsaSpaghetti84 Yea i can agree but when people have seen what can be played on the NGP and what kind of graphics you will be playing with then alot more people will be attracted to the NGP as long as the price is right i.e 3DS price like £250-£280. 3DS i think will be going towards more mainstream gamers cause i feel kids wont get along with the 3D lol. Thats how i feel anyway and i respect your views, dont wanna cause any arguments or wars, ive had enough with 360 fanboys lol.

People said the same thing when the first PSP came out, and look what happened. If Sony makes the NGP affordable (under $300), then I can see it stealing sales from the 3DS. Chances are, the NGP will be very expensive, and most potential buyers will get the cheaper 3DS. Also, Nintendo games sell very well, and everyone loves Mario, Mario Kart, and Pokemon.

What makes you think the NGP will be supported well? Sony barely supports their current PSP. Their main market is home consoles.

Man when they said graphics "like" PS3, I thought they were exaggerating but it IS close! Also imagine in the future with developers really working to use up all the hardware. What I mean is taking advantage of everything it can do graphically.

everybody will want to buy one example of the ngp series, i'm sure at this point... this is just epicness, i mean you can play monster hunter without hurting your left hand, i'm really obsessed of the ngp news... it'll be great, microsoft and of course nintendo should feel stupid if they look at sony's development..

Microsoft hasn't made a portable gaming system because Nintendo dominates the market. Sony will get raped again this generation because adults don't buy portables in mass like parents do for their children. Sony also does not bring the best technology to anyone... Best TV Panasonic Vera, best audio Bose, best mobile tech apple and google... Best tech my ass.

@Agueart I must be a child yes. I love to game out and about so i buy a PSP, not some of that Nintendo shit. I want to play Call of Duty, Need For Speed and not paint your pony in a nice colour. Microsoft are in competition thats why theres like 3 different models of Xbox already, nearly 4 Forza's and just recently brought out the Kinect, i know Sony has done the same thing with the crappy Move but Sony already had a PS Eye for PS2. You find me a handheld that has the same tech, Obvious 360 FB.

Basically if you have a PS3, Bravia, PSP and other Sony devices and gizmos they will all sync together well like you can use PSP with PS3. If you get what i mean. Im not trying to start wars fs.
