I also just added a link to the XaoS documentation in the description which gives info on making animations. Also check out the "Record" option in the File menu and the "Render animation" option under Misc.
I got a Question: How would I make a six second animation in Xaos in which the formula changes, Say from (Z^2 +c) to (Z^3+c)? Bet that would be cool!!
@Axisistilter345 Based on the way user formulas work, I don't really think that's possible, but there may be some way that I don't know about. You might like to check out the "Morph Julia" command in the help documentation that comes with XaoS. I haven't tried it yet, but it's supposed to let you morph between different Julia set fractals.
Well, thanks for reply. I got to animate render a file, it plays back just fine in viewer.
But, when I import to Sony Vegas, it is not. It goes so many frames, and keeps popping backwards and is not smooth. I looked at all help docs. in app, will look to website. Good looking stuff.
@Thunderstruck0videos I don't know anything about Sony Vegas, so I can't really help you there. I do know that if two frames in a row are identical, say frame153 and frame154, then the image sequence will only have frame153, skip frame154, and then go to frame155 (assuming frame0155 isn't also the same). I used VirtualDub, and if my image sequence looked like that, then it would only load the first 153 frames and stop since there was no frame 154.
@Thunderstruck0videos Have you already recorded your animation/sequence in a XAF file? If not, XaoS can generate one for you using the Record function in the File menu. To render the sequence, use the Misc -> Render animation. "File to render" refers to the the XAF file you recorded, "Basename" tells XaoS where to save the frames and what to name them, etc. Is this what you tried to do? Also, did you look at the Xaos Manual on the Documentation page of their website?

Awesome looking. I have just started learning of fractals. And with Xaos.
But am having trouble with creating image sequence in Xaos.
I look at all the help files and follow them but get error.
Got any tips links?
