That must've been hard with these Hanna Barbera characters, creating a 3 dimensional character out of limited 2d references. They reused allot of the same poses for each character.
i'm not sure how much detail you are looking for, but basically i collect the character reference (preferably model sheets). then i create a 3d version using the various lightwave modeling tools. then i animate and render the final images in lightwave layout.
