i think it stil have room for improvement although it look quite natural, i think the lack of the ankle movement. if someone could improve on that it will be great.
they do have equipment that allows the ankle or thigh section to rotate, and the tension (resistance when turning) is adjustable. ask your prosthetist because it helps alot when turning. if he says they dont exist then hes dumb.
***WARNING*** TOTAL GARBAGE! OTTO BOCK DOES A LOUSY JOB SERVICING C-LEG'S UNDER WARRANTY. FED'S HAD THEM RECALLED BECAUSE OF DANGER ISSUES. . . PM ME FOR DETAILS. . . C-LEG IS ONE OF THE MOST TOUTED TOTAL GARBAGE PRODUCTS. . . I ADVISE ANOTHER HIGH TECH MANUFACTURER. . .
I haven't heard of the C-leg. My son, Joey, is a left leg amputee and would like to snow board. he doesn't have much of his leg left to attach to. We have a hard time finding a leg that is going to work for him. Any suggestions on who I can contact. you can email me at scottdebra05@yahoo.com.
@HimeGirl15 .......yes, but he has been going through therapy to try and bring back more of his mobility. he lost his leg when he was 7 to cancer. He is 16 now.
@scottdebra07 oh ok. i lost my left leg to cancer too. ostiosarcoma (if thats how you spell it) i just finished up my therapy at st.jude earlier this year ^_^ (thank god. i dont like that place)
Yeah it's a good knee but Otto Bock Charge $50,000 odd for it and they charge a fortune for servicing of it. Talk about extortion of a captive market. I have just had a quote of $29,000 to service mine! ha what a joke!

yeah, it's too bad it's so expensive, If it wasn't then a wider market of people would buy it. $27,000 just for the knee on Ebay.

@buchsdrn: yeah I know. That´s the biggest problem.

Got my new C-leg last year. Made a BIG difference but still having problems walking downhill. Gotta learn to trust it!

@adman1048 Trust is the first and the best way to learn. You can trust the c-leg my friend. This knee is safe!

@adman1048
i dont like going down shallow slopes with it, as need to put 70% of weight over the toe for it to work, but its so much easier on steep slopes.
