Did anyone notice how fast the shade was moving?

First the shadow of the roof in on the ground,

then it moves up to the right side wall,

then only the background buildings are in sunlight when the officers just come in, and finally everything is covered in the shade by the time they stop dancing.

Ergo, they were dancing the whole afternoon :D

Only the North Korean guards face each other; they do this to prevent the other from defecting across the border. They have three guards at the 38th parallel; two face each other and one has his back turned to South Korea, watching his own country to make sure no one comes from the North to defect. The South Korean guards stand half-hidden behind the buildings.

NK guards can be such assholes at times. my cousin took a trip to the DMZ one time and told me one of the NK guards said something like "yankee suckee" and flashed the middle finger, but the group was told to ignore such behavior and move on.
