yeah no new atv kawi, can am, yamaha, polaris would survive what ive put my honda 350 fourtrax through, and still run normal. it has 15000 kms on it and still runs like the day it was bought. you wanna buy something and drive the shit out of it and get your moneys worth by a footshift honda atv, not the autos.
@cefisherman i have a 2006 rincon 650 and it has the same prob it will start right up and your ride about 50 yards and it just stops and you can rev the engen but it dont move and then put it in revers and it go for a little while then dose it agin then after it is nice and warmed up it will just take off with lots of power wonderign if you had and sugestions? thanks
For everyone who says polaris sucks have you ever owned one? I have 4 and there the best atvs ive ever had. Polairs and Can-am all the way!. ALL atvs break but it also depends on how you drive them.
The rincon is going to last longer and cost less than anything else. In the event you HAD to sell it, you're going to get ALOT more out of it too. That's why there are almost NONE to be had on the used market.
A buddy of mine got a honda trx 90 for his 5th birthday. We're now 17 years old and STILL right "Lil Red." She's got wires torn out under the handle bars, the key doesnt work anymore, the body is tie rapped together in about 10 different places, it's been flipped about a thousand times, we take her through mud, we jump her, and the only thing we've ever had to change on that thing is the tires and the oil. But after 12 years, I think she's finally goin out. I might post a video of her soon
Since I have had both honda dirts bikes and ATV's I believe that they build a very durable machine that will take abuse and last a long time. But, I switched to Polaris because they have what Honda doesn't have... high ground clearance, very smooth comfortable ride, TRUE AWD, and they don't flip over like Hondas are famous for! I have seen lots of videos on lots of Quads and Hondas just don't cut it unless you're on flat dry land.
I own 2 Hondas..a 03 Recon and a 05 Forman Rubicon..i rolled my Recon in a river tryin to go up current but it was to strong and flipped me over..i watch that quad barrel roll down the river about 100 yards before it stopped...winched it out let it sit up right for about 15 minutes and never once did it hesitate to refire. Other companies make great machines and it's all on your preferance but nothing can touch a Honda in quailty and durability
it wasnt the oil it was probly tthe cable that goes to the transmission that happened ti my brothers rincon it wouldnt go into reverse it is just a manufatory melfunction
@cefisherman The RIncon's oil level is critical to transmission operation. If it's low, it will have problems. In fact, they say that it helps to have the oil level slightly above the full mark.
people say hondas cant be stopped.well all the old hondas cant be beat i aint gonna lie.but in 2003 when they started makin their newer models honda went to shit.everyone with a newer honda that i know had to get their motors rebuilt.and im still rollin on my 1994 kawasaki 300 2wd.and my 2008 arctic cat 500.no problems with it at all.over 1000 miles on it
@XxStaticKillaxX i build ATV parts, and eveytime something is new,...goes for cars too , ...there is always problem with new stuff, if you wise or not rich enought, you better wait like 2 or 3 years before you buy it. exemple, i bought a rincon, i didnt wanted a 2003, i didnt wanted a 2004 ,...and the 2006 was not carburator anymore, so i took teh last honda carburator generation , Rincon 2005,..and it rocks ...i dont do mud tho, i dont like it much , if i would, id buy an Argo ...
@PhillieBRidin good question, im not very mechano, ...but since they made carburated for years on quads, i felt like it would be less trouble to have a carburated, less expensive on repairs if ever it break , injected is probably a lil more performant maybe,...but well 60-65 mph on trails ,...thats enought for me ...i own my 2005 rincon since last year only, .i bought it on june 2009 and i ride it over 5000 miles ,...and i got no repairs to do on it ,...except the usual maintenance
@XxStaticKillaxX wow buddy 1000 miles on it holy crap! buddy i have a honda rubicon and it has 21 000 miles on it. never had an engine rebuilt or nothin. i have a 2000 honda rancher 350 2 wd and its never done anything wrong. i have drivven that with no oil.
Nothing beats a Honda. Gear driven, do your maintanence and there wont be any issues. Saw 2 NEW Bruteforces puke and sputter after hitting some water and oh yeah, we had to stop and let their wimpy belts dry before we could finish the ride.
i would rather smoke a belt than blow an engine!!!!,my little sister's rincon with 27" outlaws cant keep up with my brute with 28" silverbacks in a bog
If your blowing engines than you dont know how to change oil apparently. I dont deny Brutes have more power and torque. BUT you will be replacing more parts and spending more money overall on up keep of anything but a honda.
yeah brute force's are high on maintenance i ant denying that but that's not the point i was trying to get at,but if your stuck in a bad rut or an some think ass mud that your tires are barely moving..that engine on that Honda is gonna blow if u keep on pushing it,the worse thin on a brute or any other bike is a stretched n smoked belt.oh and i never blew the engine on my sisters 07 rincon thats why i bought ma sister a rincon so she wont half to do so much maintenance
@nitrofan75 i agree to disagree hondas are good but yamaha grizzly's 550's or 700's are better i have reasons for saying this mostly because i tryed to climb a hill that was to steep with my yamaha grizzly 550 thing flipped back and rolled 9 times down a hill and i took it to yamaha dealer ship afterwards for them to look over it the only thing that happens was a busted brake lever and cracked plastic
@mountianbikeer it would not have been to steep for a Rincon lol
thats half joke and half truth....those dang things sit real high! Rumors are flying around that honda is going to step it up because a lot of people are going to the bigger bore competition. I hope they do, trust me I have sat on a Griz and Sportsman and they are very tempting. I like hard riding and mudding a lot. You should check out my videos
@nitrofan75 yeh one thing i do say i like about rincons over grizzlys is that rincons are 2500$ less on the msrp and u can ride just as hard pretty much put a 2 inch lift on a rincon and ur set in my opinion
@nitrofan75 your right my brute force has some mean ass power but i gota drop a ton of money into it to get it in the mud. as honda has hardly any power but no problems.
@nitrofan75 lol until you go mudding, hondas last forever...on the farm lol and even if they were more dependable we can am boys got 36 month driveline warranty..so i could give a fuck lol theres only one certainty when you buy a honda..you'll be eating everyone's dust
the issue obviously wasn't the quad itself with something breaking.. just not enough tranny fluid.. could happen to any quad.... honda's are still the most reliable... and yamaha's are also nice bikes too
I have always been partial to honda, but my 05 rincon shift linkage was messed up from plowing snow it would get stuck in gear and i had to tug really hard to get it out. Compared to others brands I was always high centered on rocks and logs and ruts plus the ride is rough. From day one the left front tire would lock up when I applied the brakes and the dealer said that there was nothing he could do to fix it. I still like hondas alot but I must say that I now own a 09 grizzly.
lol the rincon didn't go through where the Yamaha went... he was more to the right.. you can hit spots like that and just be completely stuck.. it's sandish so it sinks.
You're trying to talk s*** about Rincons but the broken Rincon is being towed by a Rincon!!! Come on man you cant trash honda's there simpy the best out there!
I just rolled my foreman es at 50 mph 3 or 4 times and after about 10 minutes of getting it back into gear(Es stuck in 5th) and after the hole fram was bent and the gas tank was blocked completly and one handle bar was almost straight up i drove it home over 60 miles at just about top speed the hole time, great machine, but yes very small frame. I totally a articat 400 in a drag race also right after my crash lol, Honda love
@PyroManial My foreman locked in at 1st gear today when i was muddin, how did you fix yours? I got the tool and tried to manualy shift it and to apart the actual shifter on the handle bar and still wont work?
choose a honda, you will never have the power to be proud of. why do you think honda's last as long as they do??? THEY DONT GO FAST ENOUGH OR HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO BREAK ANYTHING!!
I agree. After watching what these guys do to their Rincons, I'm sold!!! I live in Az and there's practically no mud, I'm only using it for rock trails and desert riding. It'll probably last forever. My 2 Hondas are 17 and 18 years old and they run perfect.
rincon's are not better than grizzlies... sorry. yes hondas are badazz.. and the foreman and rancher are best in category but the rincon isnt the best in its class. its between the grizz, canam, and sportsman.
i got 2 hondas. one is a 85 trx 125 and that thing runs like a charm. yea hondas dont have the diff lock, which sucks ill admit. but the axel drive prevents spinning and smoking belts lol. (my friends with brutes and polaris have problems with that). but u could send those things to hell and when u bring em back they still will run. i like honda. i like other four wheelers also, but if i could choose any, i would choose a honda
I agree. Every machine has its limitations. But I think we can agree that it comes down to reliability. And WE all who make the best engines... Honda! See ya
rincons are awesome 4wheelers. dont try to deny it because they will prove themselves. besides ooo no the one got stuck big deal. correct me if im wrong but didnt a grizz get stuck worse? plus if you had a tranny that sophisticated you might not go into gear either.
funny part is so many people have tried to prove it to us lol. oh and burned up their belts or something stupid in the process. your gonna have to work hard. sorry no offense or anything. i know you guys have some awesome rides too
yeah well i don't see whats so bad about them when hondas are the ONLY ones who still don't put in belts, ski doos have them,i couldn't imagine them having a dumbass shifting system, it would suck it out, down where i live Honda use't to be the best and now its just a big joke
i can see where your coming from. im just saying that where i am from we work them hard as hell. we have tried other brands but none have held up like hondas. i know all others have belts and yes i know they are awesome rides and can do sweet shit but im just saying hondas work the best around here. ill put this into words that dont spark any arguments. my PREFERANCE is honda
yes they doo its first gear, how much lower do you need, first gear is very low, and you can do about anything in it, i pulled another rincon with the brakes on, and a 230 pound man on it, can tow a trailer for a car with 7 grown men on it through a 1 foot river.. and it plows 2 feet of snow no problems, you dont know what your talking about, honda made them the easiest to drive.. 4x4 on the fly, esp, its like driving a car but 5 times easier.
If the Rig had a driver it be OK. OMG dude ROCK IT... There is no way those boys do any serious driving. You should never on any rig get stuck in easy stuff like that.
if yall watch the video the rincon is towing a POPO or king quad... and anyway wheres the brute force??? they would have had no trouble towing anything in 4x4
wow u caught a broken rincon big deal maybe u should consider that honda has way less relibilty problem compared to ever one else i have a rincon with 14000 on it and has had not problems since i bought it
yeah no new atv kawi, can am, yamaha, polaris would survive what ive put my honda 350 fourtrax through, and still run normal. it has 15000 kms on it and still runs like the day it was bought. you wanna buy something and drive the shit out of it and get your moneys worth by a footshift honda atv, not the autos.

choose a honda, you will never have the power to be proud of. why do you think honda's last as long as they do??? THEY DONT GO FAST ENOUGH OR HAVE ENOUGH POWER TO BREAK ANYTHING!!

I was going to get myself a Foreman 500, but now a Rincon is on the top of my list without doubt !

I agree. After watching what these guys do to their Rincons, I'm sold!!! I live in Az and there's practically no mud, I'm only using it for rock trails and desert riding. It'll probably last forever. My 2 Hondas are 17 and 18 years old and they run perfect.
jerseydrummer69 3 years ago
rincon's are not better than grizzlies... sorry. yes hondas are badazz.. and the foreman and rancher are best in category but the rincon isnt the best in its class. its between the grizz, canam, and sportsman.

doesn't look very good to me XD

i got 2 hondas. one is a 85 trx 125 and that thing runs like a charm. yea hondas dont have the diff lock, which sucks ill admit. but the axel drive prevents spinning and smoking belts lol. (my friends with brutes and polaris have problems with that). but u could send those things to hell and when u bring em back they still will run. i like honda. i like other four wheelers also, but if i could choose any, i would choose a honda
Cow465 3 years ago 2
Yamaha is that much better??? Any fourwheeler will get stuck in that shit...ANY fourwheeler. Atleast the Rincon got out of it's own hole by itself.
smlmydslsmke 3 years ago
I agree. Every machine has its limitations. But I think we can agree that it comes down to reliability. And WE all who make the best engines... Honda! See ya

rincons are awesome 4wheelers. dont try to deny it because they will prove themselves. besides ooo no the one got stuck big deal. correct me if im wrong but didnt a grizz get stuck worse? plus if you had a tranny that sophisticated you might not go into gear either.
smlmydslsmke 3 years ago
the only way you honda boys will learn is if we prove it to you guys
chrissurette 3 years ago
funny part is so many people have tried to prove it to us lol. oh and burned up their belts or something stupid in the process. your gonna have to work hard. sorry no offense or anything. i know you guys have some awesome rides too
smlmydslsmke 3 years ago 2
yeah well i don't see whats so bad about them when hondas are the ONLY ones who still don't put in belts, ski doos have them,i couldn't imagine them having a dumbass shifting system, it would suck it out, down where i live Honda use't to be the best and now its just a big joke
chrissurette 3 years ago
i can see where your coming from. im just saying that where i am from we work them hard as hell. we have tried other brands but none have held up like hondas. i know all others have belts and yes i know they are awesome rides and can do sweet shit but im just saying hondas work the best around here. ill put this into words that dont spark any arguments. my PREFERANCE is honda
smlmydslsmke 3 years ago
That has nothing to do with the four wheelers, their in silt, not a rock bottom creek.

cattrax320 3 years ago 3
hell yeah man!! honda all the way!!
spanker94 3 years ago
haha... if that thing had a diff lock and a low range... he prolly would have been ok there. lol
cellular104 3 years ago
they do have a low range
spanker94 3 years ago
They dont. they have a reverse, neutral and drive gear.
James150090 3 years ago
yes they doo its first gear, how much lower do you need, first gear is very low, and you can do about anything in it, i pulled another rincon with the brakes on, and a 230 pound man on it, can tow a trailer for a car with 7 grown men on it through a 1 foot river.. and it plows 2 feet of snow no problems, you dont know what your talking about, honda made them the easiest to drive.. 4x4 on the fly, esp, its like driving a car but 5 times easier.
biohazzardious 3 years ago
Oh yeah your right I forgot about the esp lol my bad. We actually have a rincon 700 and its a beast.
James150090 3 years ago
If the Rig had a driver it be OK. OMG dude ROCK IT... There is no way those boys do any serious driving. You should never on any rig get stuck in easy stuff like that.
hotcanuck18 3 years ago
it wasnt a matter of the mud being too deep, he couldnt get in gear.
spanker94 3 years ago
shoulda bought a grizz
