So, I did not realise this was the première video from your channel! Using the brass as percussion is an underlying theme in the music we enjoy together, Walter, had you thought of this brass usage in that manner before? chuck
A Bert Kaempfert playlist was one of the first I created and now I have over 400! Ray Conniff is my favourite, but Bert is VERY close behind.
I think you'd like my channel - 275 artists each on their own playlist and ANY of the past 120 years - you can listen to any year as if you've gone back in time !!!!!
Thank you for your enthusiastic comments chkjns :-) For me, Bert Kaempfert is my favourite but ..... Ray Conniff is also VERY close behind ! I sure am going to 'pay a visit' to your channel, am quite curious !
1) He is so vivacious as an orchestra leader, he got old, but he was always a teenager-it shows in his performances. He pioneered the idea of human voices singing syllables instead of words, but mimicking instruments.
2) I believe he is the ONLY artist whose sole goal was to create the music that WE want to hear, his ONLY artistic goal was to create what WE want to hear, usually it's the reverse.
I fully agree with you and then let me add a famous quote by Bert Kaempfert : "My music should please people, they should enjoy listening to it; if not, it has no meaning at all" ('free translation' ;-) from German) ..... There seem to be quite a number of similarities between Ray and Bert :-))

@Socratess2007 - Thanks immensely for your kind words !
What sealed the deal for me with Conniff:
1) He is so vivacious as an orchestra leader, he got old, but he was always a teenager-it shows in his performances. He pioneered the idea of human voices singing syllables instead of words, but mimicking instruments.
2) I believe he is the ONLY artist whose sole goal was to create the music that WE want to hear, his ONLY artistic goal was to create what WE want to hear, usually it's the reverse.

Very nice video, Walter. It flowed so smoothly, just as did Mr. Kaempfert's music.
I gather you are quite new at uploading videos. If this is the case, I would like to say... I think you are off to a great start!
